As some of you may or may not be aware, drastic changes are coming to Ground Zeero. As I am not no longer a member of 5EX, I feel no compunction against sharing these changes. I will also explain my reason for doing so and also set the rumors straight. As I know this post will most likely not survive the day on this forum, it will be posted in the Corporations, Alliances and Organizations Discussion forum on the Eve-Online website.
I also encourage the future host of the Fifth Exiled Legion to take a close look at the lies that you have been fed. Thats right. I said future host. 5EX has a plan in place to leave Ground Zeero and that plan is already in motion. The Fifth Exiled Legion will be leaving Ground Zeero within the very near future. Proof? Here you go, copied right from a corporate Eve mail from Sean Murphy.
Sean Murphy 2007.09.30 08:14 Legionnaires,
We are have been given an Offer to join another Alliance and we are taking it. We will be leaving within the week. All staging and logistcal facts will be forthcoming. Some arer already privy to this information, Keep it that way. More coming soon.
5EX's intent was to leave the alliance because "It lacks leadership and direction." Interestingly enough, the leadership is actually being usurped at the moment through an internal struggle. Our previous leader, Reconpete, had to scale back his role due to real life. In his place, Viro Melchior and Fourthorseman Griefer took up alliance leadership. However, a former CEO, Zaporozh, was not happy with this arrangement, and has staged a coup in cooperation with the departing 5EX. This coup has largely succeeded. Again, a post from Eve mail:
2007.10.01 05:10 Well, I was just booted from Glauxian Brothers on Viro, so I can't post this message using him.
The short story is that Fourtho and I were trying to create a peaceful passage of leadership to the new CEO council. The choices had come down to just two, and Fourtho and I believe that this is the path that will lead to the best outcomes, both for 5EX and for Ground Zeero.
Instead of being allowed to follow through with that, Zaporozh has pushed the issue in his own trigger-happy self-righteous manner, and I am no longer able to do what I want to do for these few days while passing information in the interest of GZ.
So I'm moving on, I'll either join 5EX as they enter new territory themselves, or accept an offer into Roadkill (IEEX). If the CEO council decides to remain allied with smashkill, I'll still see you guys arounds with blue tags.
Viro Melchior
This is a basic travesty. While I have always had my personal issue's with Viro, no one could argue that he did not have the alliance's best interests at heart. His leadership, as well as Fourtho's, have provided a stable influence during GZ's transition to zero sec. To put it another way, Pete would have bought new boots, 5 sizes bigger than normal, and placed them firmly up some CEO ass, were he to find out about this.

Edited by: Maximor on 01/10/2007 13:41:51 Edited by: Maximor on 01/10/2007 13:41:21 It goes further, much further. Recently, a member of 5EX who by the admissions of the 5EX leadership is a "Rogue and dumbass who we almost always ignore" began a policy of brutal control. He was promoted to director and allowed leadership, even though the role of that leadership was never clearly defined. He began to directly compete with me on everything from command roles to SP count, claiming at one point, when I was asked about my SP count, that his "alt" had 75 mil SP. The shouting match in alliance chat that happened after I had my fill of Ice was, admittedly, not one of my finest hours. However, despite the shouting match being started by Ice, despite the threat against my personal wealth, and the overstepping of his authority, I was the one required to apologize. Not only that, but I found that Ice made good on one of his threats the next morning by stealing my thanatos which was parked at a POS in 2E. When I asked about what was going on, I was informed that my carrier was moved for "safety." As of this post, I still do not have my thanatos, despite repeated requests to have it returned. Sean has claimed that he doesn't know where it's at. But he also did say that if I wanted it back, I needed to apologize to Ice. Odd, how could he not know where it was at, but at the same time know how I could get it back? At the same time, Ice was hamming it up. He apparently knew that I was supposed to apologize to him. More Eve mail:
Iceman87 2007.09.30 04:07 I'm in Vent if you wanna come and apologize to me. =)
When I logged on to all of this, I found out Ice was also attempting to steal my Rorqual, parked in the same POS. As time progressed, Ice became more and more hostile despite my attempts to ignore him. When I inquired about the status of some minerals that were aquired in a GZ mining op the previous Friday, I was told "Yeah, about that. Thanks for the donation." I quickly flew my Rorqual towards the corp hangar, fearing that other items were missing. Before I could get there, I was ejected from the POS along with several other unmanned ships. As I attempted to fly back to the POS, I discovered that my roles had been removed and I could no longer change the password. Ice then exited the POS shields in a raven and opened fire on my Rorqual. Despite the presence of two 5EX directors in system as well as the 5EX CEO, this was allowed to continue until I posted a combat log in corp chat.
Later that evening, I was informed that I would be removed from the corp because I had not apologized to Ice. Sean made an attempt to retrieve my items from the corp hangar to give them to me, even allowing me back into the POS and adding roles to allow me to see the corp hangar. Except, that when I finally looked, despite full access, the corp hangar was empty. Sean swears that the gear was there, but I only had his word at this point.
Missing from my personal inventory are the following:
1 fully fitted Thanatos, Price: 1.9 bil with fittings, fighters, and Triage. 1 Large Dread Guristas Control Tower, Price: 850 mil Several Citadel Torpedo Batteries and other POS fittings, Price: ~80 mil 3 Months of POS fuel, Price: ~110 mil
Missing from alliance inventory: 2 X hulks placed there during alliance mining op, Price: 200 mil Mined Ore that resulted from nearly 5 hours of mining operations by multiple corps and nearly 30 pilots, Price: ~400 mil

I realize this post is getting long so I will end with this. Corporate theft is not a new thing. And this is not a whine. I fully expect to never see the items listed above. It also wouldn't be the first time a corp has took what it could grab and left its alliance for "greener pastures." That still doesn't mean that it is any less deceitful or wrong. People I came to trust and respect such as Sean Murphy, Forthhorseman Greifer, and Zap, have disgraced themselves and their coporations. Sean and Fourtho were highly respected individuals. Now they are simply common theves. Zap's grab for power, while apparently successful, does nothing to change the situation. With the departure of 5EX, and Ground Zeero's core leadership, Zap has inherited nothing more than a revamped "Irmalin Banana Republic." Except, that Ground Zeero must pay rent for it's slice of zero sec, making it, not a Banana Republic, but a "Client State."
I would also like to point out that, despite retaining directorship roles(Didn't think to nuke my hauler alt, did ya?) nothing is missing from the 5EX inventory. I have not divulged POS locations, passwords, disposition, or plans. I have not sabotaged in any way, 5EX's operations in the ongoing war, nor have I given any "inside" information other than what is here. It is NOT my intent to take revenge. I could have more than compensated myself for the theft of my property by responding in kind and stealing 5EX property. In fact, many assets donated by me, remain in 5EX and SL6 corporate hangars.

Nothing major maximor, but I'd like to talk to you in game when you have a chance.
I am sorry about your loss and I hope that with the way things are ending the corp will compensate you for the items they currently have in their possession. If that's done, both sides can (virtually) shake hands and go their separate ways in a peaceful and honorable manner.
Despite having your roles in corp you didn't 're-compensate' yourself, that shows a lot of integrity so hopefully they'll see that, chock the entire incident up to 'misunderstandings' and both come to a agreeable solution for BOTH sides and let this thread just serve as a "independent panel" instead of a witch hunt as some alts might make it.
Talk to you in game and I hope you'll get your stuff back.

Please note that 5EX's intention to leave GZ was announced to Glaux and UED leadership 2 days ago. Unfortunately, CORAX and Caduceus leaders were not available at the time. It was understood that this information would be shared through the CEO council to all the corps in GZ. If leaders have kept it secret from their membership, that's between the members and leaders of the other respective corps. The simple fact is that 5EX has a good opportunity and we wish to take the offer. There is no other mystical purpose to our move.
This business with Maximor's property is not yet fully researched. Is it true that someone in corp was shooting at Max's Rorqual? Yes it is. But how was anybody to know until Max said something in corp chat AND someone in a position of authority could notice it? It was stopped immediately. As it happens, that event occurred while Sean and I were in meeting with Tare and Niko to announce 5EX's withdrawal from the alliance and tasks to accomplish for an orderly transition. We are simply moving on and seeking to have ducks lined up in a row for a good transition.
Sean and I are working to unwind this situation with Max's property with full intention to return it if the accusations can be substantiated and the property can be located. I just learned about this allegation of missing minerals from the mining op this morning and that, too, will be examined. Perpetrators will be dealt with accordingly.

Edited by: Queen Mob on 01/10/2007 15:02:20 I kind of hate to reply here. Can't say anything definitive about the ore but I don't believe it was put in a 5EX pos as no-one had rights to even look in the hangar after Max's hard drive failure removed him from the OP.
With regards to the Thanatos I saw it floating around inside the POS before the POS was passworded (during our MOP the other night). I know this because I was seriously considering "borrowing" it to move ore if we could find someone to fly the thing.
Hope this helps in some way, though I fear there are going to be lots of hurt feelings before all this is over.

A couple of important issues here that have been left unaddressed.
A. Do you know that Zeero's misspelled? There should be only one "e" there.
B. What's a sybrite?

Sigh. Note to self - use proper Queen's Engrish next alliance formation. Its spelled that way for internal reasons, and apparently to give others something to gripe about when they have no other alternatives. To head off discussion about smart bomb usage on a dreadnought, that was for the 250 drones in system. I was alone and the mob of command ships and drones wasn't going to be affected by citadel torps, so I thought I'd try another tactic. I appreciate the lesson (and others from Mr. Badidea )

I don't have much of an opinion on the current drama. Pretty much anyone I had any respect for in GZ left months ago. The only reason the killboard is anything close to in the positive is because of 1 guy tagging along in 20 man Roadkill gangs. IMO, the most disappointing in the whole situation is the mess that GZ diplomacy wound up becoming down in Khanid, but I have a bit of a biased opinion there. Fining blues for not naming ships "properly" in NPC sovereign Empire space (space that they had lived in since well before GZ showed up) is beyond lame. Attempting to manipulate the markets of a NPC lowsec area through threats is pretty lame too, and easily worked around - as I built an alt to demonstrate. At this point, I would be happy to see GZ do a "reboot" and start fresh, though the GZ of today does not in any way resemble the GZ that I was a part of.

What lesson was that?
The fact that T2 BCUs don't increase the damage/rate of fire of Smartbombs, or that you can't activate smartbombs in range of a station?

I'm not one to smacktalk so I'll keep it short and sweet.
Your Thanatos was removed from the POS because it was becoming a liability to our corporation as a whole. You are known to lose multiple ships and high dollar items because of your hot head, bad temper and lack of teamwork skills. It is unfortunate that when I asked for an apology for your multiple insults to myself and your former corp-mates you refused. I offered you back your Thanatos for a simple apology...You refused. I exchanged your Thanatos for assets that will better help our corp flourish. If you have problems with my excellent use of gameplay mechanics then you can send me an EVEmail and we can discuss things.
Your weak sense of honor and pride has been shown to the entire EVE community by your posting of InterCorp Mails on the public forums.
I skimmed over all your posts and it seems you're desperately reaching out for someone to hold you hand. Good luck and I hope you find that person/corp.
If my relinquishing of your Thanatos has helped you learn the value of not supporting the team, then I'm glad I did it.
Good luck to you and your future endeavors.
