Unfortunatly that seems to be what all carebears that do not want to learn the game mechanics that allow them to EASILY avoid pirates in losec.
The way CCP currently has the system setup if you know what you're doing there's no such thing as non-consensual PvP.

hambo you nub, thats not the way to go 
only way to learn is from experience and you aint getting that in high sec.
and to op- there are always pirates around in metropolis area, i would suggest local channel

Well, sometimes you can fly from end to end without seeing any pirates but other times just undocking will see you explode into a million pieces so pretty much assume they're everywhere. Hot spots are Avenod, Aset and Ardar as they're either entry points or crossroads.

Izo, I think you're the one who popped my rupture a while back in Otou. I went in for some quick rat bounties, got warp locked like a n00b by the npc's, and you came in with a caracal and hit me with widowmakers. Two or three volleys, and pop goes the ruppie. Does that sound like it might have been you?
If so, I'd like to thank ya, you taught me a valuable lesson.

Channels come and go. As soon as they become popular, they become compromised at the same time. Either make a channel yourself with some trusted firends or start using a scout... if you can. |

Yes. It's called "E48 Helpdesk". Just come into the channel and tell me where you are in metropolis and what you are doing. Then I will assist you with evading those evil pirates.
