the game is definately lacking pirates (aside from evolution) atm. please can some players take the requisite vows with the devil and be nasty..
please..
its getting boring

I think there are enough pirates as there is, what we need is more lone bounty hunters like what darth used to do and not the cowards who run around with 15bs fleets shouting their mouths off in local.

You know, in all my time in Eve I've only ever seen one "pirate hunter" - a guy from your corp in a cruiser.
Maybe you just need to get out more.

That's why most of 'em moved to 0.0 and formed an alliance with FE.

Corps operate in different areas, you know.
If you're in around pure blind/lonetrek/venal I'm sure you'd see loads of pirate hunters such as celest, millenium, bladerunners etc.

Phhhhhht! EVOL aren't pirates, in fact they are adamantly anti-pirate... Pirating is alive and well(Despite MASS's and EVOL's attempts to eradicate the vermin), I suggest you venture to 0.0 sometime, plenty of purse-snatchin, parrot pattin pirates there. There used to be a pretty well-known pirate corp in the game called Baaaaaaaahhh or somethin, but they are rather sheepish at the moment.

Yeah, which makes no sense. Why are you all there if there aren't any pirates? Shouldn't you go where the pirates are?

WE dont need more pirates, what we need is more pirates that work together. I dont like it but many pirate companies kill each other. Like candys corp G-G for example, they initiated agression against MAFIA, Candy you hadn't lost your ships if your corp hadn't attacked my members first. As i said what we need is a unwritten Non-Agression code between pirate corps. Otherwise it's hard to beat the well organized pirate hunters.

The problem faced by pirates is that they don't understand the basic economic of piracy.
If you sit and gate camp and warn people off on these forums (I've seen them posting here with such quality remarks as "keep away from our systems") - and THEN they complain that no-one's coming through anymore.
It's not rocket-science to figure this out? Surely?
It probably never occurred to them to simply kill a ship and not pod the pilot, as there's a slightly greater chance that the pilot will return along the same route. But no, they seem only interested in the short-term gains/gratification - and are unwilling to see the long-term implications of their actions.
I bet they haven't got a decent pension plan either!

I was out pirating last night.
Didn't get much. Makes me wonder why I bother.
And then (with ample warning) I have 10-12 ships warp in on me, thinking I'm gonna fight them or some ****. Yeah, sure. I only bothered waiting out of boredom and morbid curiosity.
Large anti-pirate corps with no tactical smarts will be their own demise.
I'm surprised they haven't realised this already..
I have people warning me of the wherabouts of most of the big pirate hunter squads. They're so easy to avoid, it's comical.
Pirate hunters need to improve their game, rather than just add numbers to their fleets. If I am alone in local with 10+ pirate hunters, I'll just log off, and go play ut2k4. It's not like you're stopping me from making money. I already have money, I only pirate for amusement. And if I can't amuse myself in Eve, I'll do it in ut2k4*.

Lol same thing happent to us last night - there were 4 of us in bs's me, Psychopath, Bobbeh , Arc. 2 scorps a raven and a typhoon. One of the scorps had mwds on so he wouldnt count in a fight :).
Anyway we are sitting at the gate in 0.0 space when we get 8plp in local at the same time and 2 secs later 3 more peeps.
Now what do u think they do? 1) warp straight to us?
Nope they sit in local for 5 mins so we have ample time to identify all of them as pirate hunters. Anyway we sat at the gate just out of curiosity to see what they would bring to the fight(we were 0 km from the gate). Anyway after 5 mins(when i was really starting to get bored) they come in:2 temps 2 ravens 1 scorp 3 caracals 3bbs
We let them come right ontop of us, then we jump, so we can have msgs to us about being pu****

Don't make me laugh. I'm not naming names here, but certain members of u'r corp payed me a while ago to leave them alone, how pirate is that? And a pirate corp does not mean u go protecting forces of Valhalla when they stripmine a system full of crok carebear style. Go carebear or pirate dude, but not something in between.
