What a game in Denver tonight. Most incredible finish I've seen since Oakland's Ramon Hernandez two out walk off bunt in extra innings to beat Boston 5-4 in the ALDS.
I'm a lifelong A's fan, but it's nice to see these little Rockies get Helton into the postseason.
But what do you guys care, you're all European.

Hmmm, do I see a pattern here? Americans appear to have three national games; rounders, netball and rugby - although for the last of those they seem to need to be protected like a mediaeval knight, for a game that Englishmen play without protection.
Two of the three need you to be a genetic freak to get anywhere in, too.

All I care about as a Ranger's fan is Sammy Sosa hitting 600, and that 30-3 win over Baltimore that was the first major beatdown of that caliber in about 100+ years. Its been a good season .

Out of my own curiosity, I just watched some youtubes. I searched "football hits" and "rugby hits". I mean, I'm a great fan of sport no matter what it is (with few exceptions). I appreciate the fact that rugby players don't wear pads, but the major difference I noticed from comparing the videos, is that a significant number of the "hits" in rugby were cheap shots, secret elbows, and just downright dirty play. Meanwhile, the dirty hits from the football videos were mostly horse collar tackles from 30+ years ago before they made it illegal.
Another major difference is that many of the biggest football hits are when a receiver is running (at top speed mind you) down the middle and goes up to make a catch, and there's a safety running right at him ready to unleash pain. There is simply no comparison. That receiver is subjected to violence several orders of magnitude greater than what you will generally see on a rugby pitch.
Also, it seems there are nowhere near as many blind side hits in rugby as there are in football. Things are much different when you're about to get nailed and you don't even know it.
Watch This and take note of the hits at:
0:25 0:42 (coincidence that it's Ronnie Lott wearing #42? The guy was pure evil) 1:13 1:28 (Poor Sammy White, he still cringes when he sees that. Long live "The Assassin") 1:57 2:18 (haha, that one is classic)
Violence. Pure violence.
You'd want a helmet and pads too if you had This Guy hunting you.

Rugby = Contact American Football = Impact
Gets a bit boaring seeing the 'no my sports for real men!'argument on here between people. Get over will you, Rugby used to be a sport for men untill they stopped stamping, punching, spear tackles, dumping.

They will
The yankees had to go scrounge up andy petite and rodger clemens to just to get through a 3 game series to make it to the playoffs. There is no way they have the arms to go a 7 game series, especially against the arms of the tribe. Sabathia is an automatic win! They are the toughest team in the playoffs I think. My halos will have to be on their game if they make it past boston. _______________________________________________ RuntimeError: ChainEvent is blocking by design, but you're block trapped.
