WE NEED A RATING SYSTEM (like Yelp and Ebay)- Where players and corporations can rate other players and corporations. This would be EXTREMELY helpful in finding legit corporations that do merc work, transporting, etc. Better yet, it would help me know the difference between sincere individuals and scammers and such. WE NEED THIS IN PLACE. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE HOW MUCH THIS IS NEEDED.
That is my 2 cents. Thank you.

This would be gamed to the point of uselessness in five minutes tops. |

What is needed is a system with a chain of derived trust, rather then a straight up/down rating system that would be gamed. So if I set my trust to player A to max (10.0), and player A trusts player B to the max (10.0), then I would have a derived trust towards player B of 10.0. If I only 50% trust player A, and player A 100% trusts player B, I would at most 50% trust player B, because Player A would not be able to pass on more trust then they have themselves. Likewise, if player A strongly distrusts player B, I would get a negative derived standing. The derived standings chain would stop at the first player of 0 trust or less, as you wouldn't want a player you distrust from being able to game the system. |

My thoughts exactly. Show me a rating system that isn't gamed and I would support it. There is a reason why there is no such thing as a "dislike" button as well.

What I can't emphasize enough is how stupid this idea is. Additionally, how terrible ALL of your ideas are. A character rating system would only serve to benefit the scammers in the long run, and it would be abused all day long. There is NO way to implement this to prevent abuse.
