I'd like some feedback on this career path - I think that being a good combat pilot plus having great trading skills seems to be a balanced career. You can handle encounters well as well as trade in goods in low sec space or move from low sec to high sec and get the best deals.
I'm curious how many other people have chosen this career path. One complements the other, I suppose.
Thanks,

You can't make your sucktor trader into an uber trader until he makes level 8.
25 mj shields are in CBSW
----- TANSTAAFL

If you are really paranoid use a paranid destroyer with 10GJ shields so that you cant be quickly ganked when you jump in (or if you collide with anything)..... ---------------------------------

It doesn't take long to get some very useful trading skills. Most important of course are your max orders, broker fee reduction, and tax reduction. Remote sell order modification would be useful if you don't want to run all the way through low-sec to modify your orders.
Overall I'd say it's a good choice to generate a decent side income.

Dont push this off EVE that it gets delegated to OOP please
On topic: I'd take a look at blockade runners as well. I've got a corpmate who's making tons more money than any of us by just flying a blockade runner and trading in high-return-per-unit items. -
