So lets say i'm in 0.0, I warp from one gate to another, but place a bookmark half way. I return to the bookmark and let lose a warp distortion field. Will any player traveling between those two gates fall out of warp? Or even if it works, logistically, there's probably no point to it?

If their warp crosees the bubble they will be pulled out

Nope won't work, a bubble has to be on the same grid as your warp to / "landing point" or it won't suck you in.

it will only pull out another player from warp if his warp would land him on the same grid as the bubble is
so if you place your bubble somewhere in the middle between two gates you won't catch anyone who is warping from one gate to another

Also note that a bubble on the other side of a gate from your flight path, but still intersecting it, "sucks" you past the gate to the edge of the bubble.
I believe bubbles work like tiny deadspaces in that regard. My experience with them is limited to OMGABUBBLECLOAKWARPGTFO, however. ;)
