If you buy a station from a pirate corp (or any corp really) whats to stop them from taking it right off you again ? if you have a big enoght fleet then take it yourself, if not then you wouldn't be able to hold it would you ?

What's so funny? Techel bought a station from MOO in the Period Basis region. I believe the price was 1.5 billion, could be wrong. Seems like a smart new way to make money.

Techell will lose that station at the whim of any passing fleet. Buying a station is a complete waste of money. If you cant take a station you wont hold on to it for long.

Why would they do that ?
a) They are a Pirate Corp.
b) Whos going to want to spend 24 hours a Day for the rest of there eve life defending someone elses station ? (means they can't do anything else)
If he was serious about getting a station he would have to get either a real big corp in multiple timezones or a Allience in multile time zones and make sure you have at least 10 BS online all day and then you may stand a chance... at least as long as nobody really wanted to take it from you... (His corp info says 20 ppl and no mention of an allience)
then you could buy it off moo on the condition they don't take it back (assuming that they are trust worthy (I don't know as i have never delt with them))

So far Techell and MOO have been camping around their station. Don't know how long MOO is gonna stay there, but for now, a few of them are down there. Just make your way to the refinery station in the Period Basis region and check it out.

Techell could have easily conquered their own station - they are huge. I don't know why they would pay 1.5 billion. I suppose that isn't much money if the station has a refinery - they will more than double that in the first week in that case.
Woot Techell, keep those ship prices dropping. :)
