The addiction isn't so much in the act itself, but in the chemical processes that play out in the mind when reaching climax. There is a massive co cktail of neuro-chemical responses in the brain that happen at that one moment, no small part of which is a HUGE shot of endorphin. Some people become "endorphin junkies" in that their brains begin to crave the endorphins and specific chemicals given off during sexual climax. After awhile it can blossom into full-on addiction. There are treatment centers in the US, Canada and Europe that specialize in sex and sex-related addictions. Just google it.
