Well I cant believe how war works, I mean its so lame, a corp declares war on another corp and even if the other corp dont want war, after 24 hours well they have to watch over thier shoulders. Now this happend for my corp last night, and the corp that declared war, well one of them had made an alt and gotten the alt char into our corp(we are a mining corp), so last night they jumped us and yeah blow yes up, not hard since we had no guns. So they just sit outside the station and theres nothing we can do about it. Well eventually I quit my corp so I could go and mine without having to fear for losing my ship. Sure some people finds this fun, but for those like me that just like to mine and hang out with my corp friends It sucks. It should be like this: One corp declares war and the other corp has to accept the challange before the war starts. The way it is now sucks. If I want Combat I go to a .0 sector and die there-)

Perhaps there ought to be some provisions for security rating of the system? Y'know, unilateral wars get Concord attention in .8+ space, but Concord utterly ignores all activity below there?
Currently, it's:
corp 1> "Tally ho, we're at war!" corp 2> "Hey, wait a sec! We're small and defenseless!" CONCORD> "I wonder where the nearest donut shop is..."

IMO leaving the corp should be classed as an exploit, its just an easy way of getting out of danger.

IMO its ridiculous to say thats an exploit.
I also think this wat thing sounds like just an excuse to go and kick someones ass without getting into trouble from Concord. Which is fine if thats its design, but if it is it sounds rather basic for this game.

I think ccp have made plans for this where by in the future when a corp declares war on another corp they must activly pay concord a fee (I think it will be based on the sizes of one or both of the corps involved) in order to leave them alone.
This means that it will cost the corp that is going to war to maintain it over time forcing people to think more carefully about who they are going to war with and why.

It sounds obvious that the agressor in this case used an alt to find a weak mark so they had a nice soft target to greif. This sounds like an exploit to me. How ever I don't think waiting for both sides to agree to war is a great idea. After all, mining cos have a lot more to loose then a rat co in such a case.
I suspect the simplest answer for this minning co would have been to solicit a merc corp to come and defend them for the deration of the "war". Either way they loose, but perhaps if they choose their mercs well enough they'll be able to keep their ships and continue opperations.
Anyhow, good luck with that.

If you leave the corp so that you can undock in safety, move someplace else and rejoin, it's an exploit. If you simply leave, it is not.
