 Greetings everyone....
I am just beginning to play this game...have been reading some of the guides etc. This definatelly looks like my kind of game (Thank god for no grinding). I have a simple question (I think) for you vets....Let me be very persistant about this, I DO NOT care how long it takes to achieve my goal, my goal will be achieved one way or the other. I am just looking for advice so I do not have to start over.;)
What I want to know is...my main concern for eve is going to be pvp. I want to be the person in a corp who goes headfirst into combat and starts blasting everyone. In the mean time though I want to be able to run missions and rat for cash. What I am interested in knowing, and as I said I dont care how hard it is, or how long it takes, I am interested in knowing which Race/Bloodline/Attributes/Ancestary/Career and Specialization would be best to suit what I want to do. I don't care if one empire is harder than the other, don't care if one starts weaker than the other, etc.
If you could help me out on that information, and could also provide me with a link to the post before about all the basic abilities needed to be able to fly ships well, I would appreciate it. I looked/searched but can't seem to find it. Yes I do plan on doing learning abilities first, but I just like to know ahead of time what I am going to do next.

Starting career and the like makes bugger all difference really, the only thing you need to worry about is balancing your stats, putting less into Charisma than the others, and going from there really. So based on that I'd just choose a Race/Bloodline that you like the look of and fiddle with the attributes till their around balanced. If you're looking for perfect stats though you have to go Caldari Achura.
The best kind of ships I can think of for you are Gallente and Amarr by the way. Both like to get in there with hefty tanks (usually just massive HP buffers) with some damage mods and just start laying down the hurt

Ok so missile boats and such from the caldari and junk arent to good for pvp then? I should have been more clear and that's my fault....I wanna pvp but I wanna be the MASSIVE damage man. That was my fault for not being more clear on that one. I wanna be able to do the HUGE amounts of damage. But don't forget I wanna be more of a pvper but I wanna be able to rat low sec space and do L4 solo missions eventually also.

Race/Bloodline only really effects your stats, and stats only effect your training time for various skills. I think you may be confused about this, as you say you want the "best" bloodline for combat, but you don't care how long it might take to do the training. From a min/max perspective, how long it takes to do that training is all there is to picking a bloodline.
What race's ships you want to fly is an entirely separate matter. From the sounds of it, you want Gallente ships. They've got the highest damage ships in the game, but that high damage is also the most range limited. Of course, there's all sorts of different types of PvP in EVE. You may find high damage and close range either less or more useful depending on a number of factors, the main factor being the number of people involved in the fight.

How are the gallente ships at rating and L4 missions though? Just weighing all my options before I get going. How are they at both pvp and rating/L4 missions compared to say the missile boats of the Caldari?

my dominix [gal battleship] solo's lvl 4's pretty easy.
no idear how the other races fare but i expect all of them can solo with the right setup. just the dominix can dish out good damge wislt doing it due to drone AND gun damage boost
