Hi there!!
Firstly, I'm an Ore thief (some of you already found that out the hard way)
There's a lot being said about making us 'criminals' so you can shoot us, etc. I think that's wrong, surely it was the whole purpose of bringing sec cans into the game? I merely cash in on your greed in refusing to use them.
Anyway, my point is that I've been the source of many a happy evening playing 'let's all kill Tenaj' for bored miners and now that may all stop. EVERYTHING is getting nerfed, Piracy, trading, now even thieving so that soon all you can do is sit and mine. No fun, no fun at all.
Personally, I think even us low life thieves bring a dimension to the game. The decision by miners is needed to balance ISK with risk in using (or not) sec cans, the fun of hunting the thief down etc etc.
So, support your local ore thief and oppose this move to openly criminalise us. You'll miss us when we've gone

They're not stopping you Tenaj. They're just letting you and the miner work things out without getting the nasty police involved.
Aren't half the posts on this board about "Nasty CONCORD" and "CONCORD Ruined the game for me".
Well, there you go.
I'm sure if you were theiving in something a bit more sturdy, like a geddon loaded down with expanders, there wouldn't be an issue.
If this cuts into your ISK supply, you can always come home to daddy. There's always room for 2 in my pod..
Edit: and before everyone goes into some tirade about me being a carebear (which I probably am)
1.) I hate mining and try not to do it at all
2.) I've said since last summer that the single most damaging thing to this game and it's economy has been can mining (followed closly by the BPC market).
But, that said. I still think it's about time high-sec can thiefs had to take the risk for their reward.

TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

see, people just dont like that your protected by Concord dispite your taking someones ore
so its not marking your as a crimal
its just allowing people to settle person dispite they might have with you and your ilk when you showup snatching cans

For everyone who doesn't know, to stop an ore thief in its tracks just have everyone thats at the mining location and ram the thief's indy. Then refuse to let them go for about 10 minutes. Best part is that you won't have to deal with that thief again!

you have my support. This carebaer madness in Empire space must be stopped. All ore thieves must found a union with cheap refinery service and high price minerial sell.
I doesnt support Gallente and ore thieves in gallente ships.:D

do what you want, be an ore theif as long as you accept the consequences that come along with that. mainly being ostracized from the game. and i wouldent reccomend stealing ore from anything below .5

Frank - killer post - so damn funny and yet sad at the same time - hell I've been working for what feels like weeks to get up to BS level - judging by the effects I might stay in my cruiser or even my frig...

Heh, ore theives r cool, i remember long time ago before i turned to the dark side me and my corp m8s from terranova use to get ore stole on us by J33t, it was fun we,d jump in kestrels n merlins and fry him then get killed by concord but it was all fun, anyway i later turned pirate and j33t then joined spvd and had many ganking sessions togther in ec-p8r, twas great fun, so suuport the ore thieves there luvable wee gits ;-)

Personally, I have no time for ore thieves but there's also the issue here of all the folk who have spent good ISK on secure cans now finding them worthless because the thieves can be attacked.
Surely that's just rewarding those players who have been too greedy or lazy to invest in secure cans, and punishing those of us who have taken the precaution? ( I have 12 of those damn great big giant secures, may as well recycle them I guess )
CCP should reconsider, players already have a way to deal with thieves through using the sec cans, or they can jet mine in 0.4 or below.

Last night someone stole over 100k of my corps ore while our hauler was offloading. Do we care? yes, Did we place a bounty that now totals over 10mil? yes. Thats all you can do so the newbs should get over it. I've been playing Eve for 3 days... Whats that say?
