Let's keep this short. Doing a mission in deadspace with a friend, different corp. Killing rats. Salvaging stuff too. Targeted a RAT WRECK and hit artillery instead of salvage. Got Concorded.
Destroyed: Brutix System: Chamnace Security: 0.9
Involved parties: Name: CONCORD Police Commander / CONCORD (laid the final blow) Name: Centii Loyal Manslayer / Sansha's Nation
Fun!
This is NOT the only problem in last few weeks.
Friend was moving stuff in itty, rat came and he shot at it. Got concorded. Petitioned and got ship back. Few weeks later, mining with Megathron in high sec. Rats came, he launched drones. He got CONCORDed. Involved parties where rats + CONCORD.
Another example. Friend ganged in a mission. shot his own can he just made, CONCORDED. Lost a battlecruiser.
What is going on? 4 ships lost with over 200M ISK lost so far for killing rats. Anyone in CPP wake up and fix CONCORD?
Anyone else having similar problems recently?

The donut factory workers are on strike until further notice due to unbearable work conditions. As a result of this Concord officers find themselves to have too much time on their hands. As Concord officers get as bored as the next person they need to find a good pasttime instead of having constant coffee breaks and thus find themselves looking for lawbreakers. At times the said lawbreakers numbers can be limited so they engage in crime stopping elsewhere.
Are you certain that you did not have a broken tail light on that brutix?

I've witnessed the wreck situation before. Whilst hunting macros in Metropolis a few months back my wingman (naively) shot at one of the macros rat wrecks. The resulting concordownage was quite amusing. As for the rest: -----------

Remember the CONCORD warning : 'donuts increase cholesterol levels'. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast ! The Vexor Navy Issue is much more fun than the Myrmidon ! |

Seems normal to me... Macros are not rats... Well they may be but not in the sense of NPC rats.. So if you shoot another player you get concorded. Nothing special about that.

Edited by: Ladyah Liandri on 11/10/2007 13:09:09 Shooting at another players possessions has always been an aggressive act as long as this player
a.) is not in your corp (gang membership is not enough) b.) not at war with you c.) hasn't aggressed you beforhand.
Question: were there warnings? (if you disabled those check your game logs)
Getting concordokened after attacking a rat or shooting your own can is a totally different issue though.

Edited by: G0rF on 16/10/2007 11:26:56 While I cannot actually help the OP, I can sympathise.
We've lost 2 Recons recently just for shooting rats in belts while on miner protection duty.
As OP says, this is not the only instance of this I have heard of.
EDIT: no warnings, no dilogs, nothing. Just engaged like a normal rat, and 15 secs later CONCORDOKKEN!!!! Not nice.
