Edward Norton as Gordon Freeman (that man can vanish into so many different personas he'd be the perfect choice to vanish into nothing, or matt damon, an 'actor' made of pure nothingness) Gigi Edgley as Alyx Vance. Gigi is just so yes. plus she does action really well. William B. Davis as Gman, obviously. (perhaps matt damon could play his suitcase) Kate Blanchett as Judith Mossman, great actor, could pull off this potentially complex role real good. /Cliche alert: Sir Ian McKellen as Dr Breen Matt Damon could play all the combine soldiers, just so i could see him die over and over again. Dwight Schultz could pull of Isaac Kleiner really well! yeah i forget other characters, even though i just played this game last week >_< Anyhow, I think the game would make a stunning film thanks to the storyline, the amazing vareity of locations and the room for characters that the game had. -------------------------------------------- Threads are stacking-nerfed; the more posts you add the less effective those posts are. mooooooo.

Why, is sirmolle a prat? Sean Bean certainly is... Anyway on topic I think I like the idea of Fallout the movie, based around the BOS, Nathan Fillon in the lead role... Actually just get the Serenity cast back for it.

The staple of the Half-Life series is that Gordon is a Silent protagonist. You never see nor hear him in the present time. Making a movie in which you can see him would ruin the whole series, IMO. I loved the Night's Dawn set but I think it would be too hard and odd to make into a movie and those who hadn't read the book would be utterly lost. Pandora's Star would be pretty darn hard to distill into a movie too but done right it could be freaking awesome. The Prime is just an awesome villain. It'd be hard to get across its motivation of massive paranoia and extreme narcissism though.

Lots of potential to screw it up but done right it could be amazing (if you have not read the book and even kind of like sci-fi go to the bookstore NOW and buy it...really...frighteningly good book).

Lensman books (sequels, any of the books would likely do) I second Night's Dawn, but it would be very difficult to do - the space battles would be easy CGI, but all the stuff about people being possessed by the dead?
