thats like 192 per cycle, well i know for sure u wont last long in fleetbattles :) not with a large booster

Well, if relays get nerfed its bye bye to my apoc...have been having fun with it in fleetbattles (lots of dmg on a that baby) and with a good sense of cowardice and aligning you can survive with a large sb and 2 hardners. However, if i cant even get cap to run the guns for at least some time or get my shields nerfed to insta-blowup level, im changing into a raven or another non-sucky combat boat.
Gonna miss the crisp sound of tachs though.

Have you used an apoc and all these weapons you mention before?
A Dual Heavy Beam only does comparable damage against real targets to a 250mm Rail or a Heavy Beam.
Who here in the right mind would put 8 Dual Heavy Beams on an Apoc and think they have a credible ship?

About 20% more actually, but we shouldn't let the facts get in the way of heated discussion, shall we ;s
It's simple case of quantity topping the quality -- the greater number of weak guns exceeds the performance of smaller number of more powerful guns. The fact weaker guns can run non stop because they use far less cap, while the better guns need to take a break every now and then (unless you put and use just ~4 of them but that's ridiculous on its own) only helps the worse weapon outdamage the stronger one over time.
That to me is what 'optimal' means, it might be different for you. ^^

Now, now; please, don't turn it into a sample of popular opinion... it proves very little after all. Surely if the presented idea is so insane, you will have no problem with providing rational, logical arguments against it rather than 'show of hands'..?
