Is it just me, or is it odd that a biomass can stop you from cloaking? Its trash in space, that is always left where it lays... That along with wrecks, cargo cans, and secure cans make it nearly impossible to travel "safely".
Not sure if this issue has been addressed, but i think its complete BS that I just lost a recon, cause of a biomass.

I lost my first helios to this. I jumped through the gate had a 20 man gate camp on it, up goes the dictor bubble. So I should just take off and fly through dictor bubble cloaked and warp off right? Wrong
One stupid frozen corpse 450m off the side of my ship. That was the end of that ship.

And while recon ships increase your chances of flying through a gate camp, no ship is invincible in 0.0. A twenty five man gate camp really should be able to kill you ... twenty five to one odds are very stacked against you.
Biomass and wrecks uncloaking ships is fine the way it is.

You're clearly a moron. Its not like I expected my ship to beat the 25 man gatecamp solo... I merely find it amazing, that I cant get away from said gatecamp, with the most advanced "covert" ship in game... CCP's input on this would be gravely appreciated.

You can easily add everything in the game to your overview to display it. Next time learn to set up your overview correctly and stop whining. There is more than enough of it flying around here. If you don't know what keeps you from cloaking then go to empire and test it. Geeesh it's really not that hard to figure out.

At what point did CCP ever say that keeping biomass/wrecks near a gate was an exploit? As long as you aren't jettisoning the matter in space then it can't be considered an exploit.

Not an exploit.
Cloaked ships within 2000 meters of anything in space become uncloaked.
The best way to deal with cloaked ships is to make sure they can not cloak.
Put two and two together, develop a tactic.
An Exploit is finding something in the games mechanics that is not working the way it should be and abusing it. This is working as intended. ______________________________________

Ummm... yes biomass can stop you from cloaking. As well as the other garbage people leave behind (GSC's, wrecks, noob ships). Is there some strange metaphysical reason it shouldn't?
So, unless you can figure out what it is... try adding it to your overview, as well as large collidable objects. It will make you time a bit easier on getting through these debris fields. _________

It's not an exploit leaving anything, including jetisoned cans around to make people uncloak.
It is a tactic, a game mechanic, and you go directly to counter people who cloak. Too bad for the cloakers, but noone is invincible.
As for dropping alot of stuff into a system to make it lag and cause oponents to lose ships this way, that's exploitable and banable offence.

If this is an exploit, then so is every other basic gameplay mechanic. Certain mechanics work in favour of your survival, some work against, depending on your circumstances. Just because it's against you at this moment does not make it an exploit.
