Is it just me or has the encryptor prices become ridiculesly high in the past month?
Do you think the current prices are healthy for invention as a whole?
If not, what should be done about it?

Supply and demand.
The demand will be higher because of the T2 ships which are due in the next patch. -- eve-guides.com Includes all about POSs, outposts, tech II production, item database and much much more. |

Ahh off course, I didn't think of that.
Still though, the prices are insane atm. It seems like some balancing or changes in where to obtain these encryptors in the first place might be in order?

A good first step would be to increase the drop of decryptors in Radar Exploration sites by something like 10x so they become a viable secondary source.
Selling PERFECT PRINTS of every seeded T1 BPO: modules, rigs, drones, ammo and ships (3 ships missing), and most capital modules too! Selling any INVENTED T2 BPC by order! Can build also! Selling max |

There has been enough time, CCP should be able to see now that they need to up the drop rate on these things in exploration sites, and make sure the best named decryptors get seeded out in exploration sites as well. There are a ton of people who now have the skills to do effective exploration, and anyone who has taken the time to explore these sites knows it takes roughly 20-30 minutes to probe one of these sites down, provided you find a system first that actually has one. Assuming you look for 30 minutes with multispecs, and then probe for another 30, your sinking in an hour in no time, not to mention the time it will take to run the site and hack the cans. This is easily a 2-3 hour ordeal depending on how you have yourself setup, but unless you are multi piloting or have a buddy, you aren't running that site in a covops.
With the time that is invested in these sites it should be worth while that decryptors become more common out here, especially since you are going to see the use of invention double or triple.

This topic has come to this forum with some frequency. Besides farmers and speculators everybody seems to agree that COSMOS farming of production tools of this importance should stop and that decryptors should be acquireable by other means in more quantity.
Lets home the change comes with Revelation 3. With the new ships they will be more necessary than ever.
