Sicex 13	Posted - 2012.01.23 10:18:00 - [1] - Quote An interesting tool I found called Wordle generates word (or tag) clouds from pasted text or RSS feeds... So I copied all the text from the most recent CSM meeting's minutes, pasted into a word proc and deleted from the entire wall of text the words: 'CCP', 'CSM', and 'EVE'. The web app automatically filters common words and numbers. ... and I think I messed up on the naming of the cloud because the original document name is dated wrong I guess, but it is the Dec 7th meeting just for clarification. Wordle's Troubleshooting FAQ: http://www.wordle.net/faq#gray Seems like an interesting tool that can be applied (with some tweaking) to entire GD threads. I requested CCP generate a tag cloud from their end if its possible (and not too time consuming) which would be really interesting to run all the thread titles through or all text in all posts, etc. Would generate some interesting clues as to trending topics or whines. Also just to add, there isn't some big surprise here or some big revealing fact from the Tag Cloud generated. It is simply a useful tool that could reveal interesting trends in multiple threads or meeting minutes in the future. I posted my process so everyone can generate these things if interested - they do take some fiddling, but it at least starts to whittle down general hysteria statements regarding these meetings.

I only removed the obviously overused words like (CSM and CCP) but didn't remove other less common words like 'players' and 'new' and so on... so you do still have to look for the biggest 'issue' words between the larger other non-important words. It looks like the most common words used were: Plex ships Art nullsec Followed by a large number of words all about the same size (so I don't know how delicate this cloud generator gets...) but the next issue words would be: Incursions assets stations Crucible economy pointed

But nevermind the evidence still it's a Goon CSM only aiming to kill all hisec players with RMT vodkabots!
