These are the stories that always get around "the untrustworthy pie who blew me up after taking my bounty" "the gang who blobed me after coming to help me" you (unfortunatly) never hear about the pirate who let you go after paying the randsom or the one who told you where you went wrong after he kicked your ass and yes they do exist they have kicked my ass and told me how so next time we meet its a more interesting fight for both :)
but thses are the stories that cause people to slam on the breaks at that border gate to 0.4 congratulations guys for increasing empire lag and giving the real pirates less people to shoot at 
P.S. im not a pirate but if theres less pirates then theres less people for me to play with lol

Damn I can't believe you honestly thought this was post-worthy. The only amusing part of this story, completely overshadowed by a gank video, is the careful social engineering carried out by one member to convince a few hostiles to run right into a trap.
It completely undermines the fact that we fielded 14 pilots willing to fight against whatever numbers they chose to bring, and that we would have fought outnumbered.
Fraps things like this for you're own documentation, but engage your brain the next time you post pls.

No it isn't particularly satisfying ganking 14 v 4, and as I've said we'd rather they had brought equal odds. But we won't be grovelling an apology, if you want to defend their honour then we look forward to some good fights.

Setup is crap because it was fitted for max damage in a evironment that does not require it - not to mention that in a gang the job of the recon is to hold down ... be support instead of damage dealer.
He didn't need damps, and certainly no warp disruptor. He tried to fit damps to compensate but the truth is that unless you have 3 t2 damps you cannot dampen a BS well enough so those were pretty much useless from the start.
What he would have needed more was something like MWD + 3x webbs + 2 LSE. The 650's should have been dropped for LSE's - you could engage under sentries or you could be called primary so that HP buffer helps a lot.
This would free up the lows for all speed mods and you could also go with some speed rigs, reaching a very nice 3-3.2 km/s which adds to survivability.
The funny part is that 3x 650's + 3x HM T2 + MWD + 3x t2 damps is possible with no fitting mods on, if you have good skills - AWU 5. Doubt the pilot had good AWU skills, or cap skills or even engineering to level 5. :)
I won't even comment on chosing 4x valks I instead of 3x valks I + 2x Warrior I, which is much better.
The fact that he almost died was beyond funny. :)
I'm not neutral in RAGOON vs BOB, I just dislike both sides. :) |
