First, before I share this pile of nonsense with you all, please refrain from making the following comments.
1) IT'S JUST A RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE PILE OF LOOT ONCE I BRING MY GANG. We know, it doesn't make it any less hysterical.
2) YOU CAN JUST NEUT IT AND IT CAN'T DO ANYTHING. Duh, I never said it was unstoppable. In fact, it can be outdpsed by cruisers.
Revel in the tank from hell that is virtually "unbreakable" without neuting its cap.

No, this is not practical. Yes, it is ridiculously expensive. Yes, it's not hard to counter. But is it hysterical? Hells yes :).
To give you an idea of it's tanking ability, it's a battleship that outtanks an Archon with 2 capital armor reps, 64% Exp,Kin,Therm Hardeners, Chelm's EANM, and a DCUII. Yes, a battleship outtanking a fully deadspace/officer fitted CARRIER. Lawl!

Actually, a Claymore can hit about 11,000 tankable DPS, but I don't count Cap booster using setups because they're not permanently sustainable. This pilot of this maelstrom can literally just turn the boosters on and go eat dinner, and have an entire fleet crying because they can't break the tank. :)

I would, except it's just wasteful to make a "ridiculously expensive" L4 setup when a 100 mil Raven can do em all with ease. :)
In any case, I think Entity's State Raven would do the job just fine. :o

Well to (slightly) cheapen that setup, you could swap the officer co-pro for a faction co-pro or go with some CPU-type implants and drop down to a T2 co-processor.
Also, I beat your tank. Hardwiring-Zainou 'Gnome' KYA 2000 (-5% shield recharge time) increases the Maelstrom's passive tank, giving you 7,352 DPS tanked.
And **** it would be funny to see capital ship gangs struggle to break that things tank.

1. That's so pointless, if the enemy brings a gang it'll just be a pile of loot.
2. You can just neut it and it'll be completely dead.
