I think it would be sweet for haulers that get suicide ganked (or anyone really) was able to transfer kill rights to another character/player. That way players/characters that are not very pvp capable/savvy would actually be able to get revenge via another player/different party.
I think it would add some interesting dynamics to the game.

Edited by: Khanak Hryad on 09/10/2007 20:39:11 No...for the simple point that I could transfer my kill rights to a pilot of a carrier and have him pwn everyone...big exploit...not cool...
EDIT: Damn typos

That doesn't sound like an exploit to me, it sounds like a business transaction. A carrier ganking some T2-fitted Myrmidon is no more "exploit" than it was when that Myrm murdered some poor bugger's Bestower the week previous.

And thirded. This to me is 'bounty hunting' in it's true sense. Just add it as '<x> kills of <y> character for <z> amount of ISK' and have the server alert the 'buyer' when the 'transaction' has been complete.
BUT!
Make absolutely sure that it only applies to current kill rights, and that when the kill right expires, so does the contract. This latter caveat means that there is emphasis on the hunter to complete the transaction asap.

I mostly just want to hunt down salvage thieves in high sec. But suicide gankers would be fun too. ----------- Support fixing the EVE UI |

yes, this is a fix for bounty hunting. Some pirate kills you. You bounty him in hopes someone might collect it. But if you could sell the kill rights to someone who actually has the ability to go and collect, now wouldn't that be interesting :) -- Talking in Circles is more dizzying than walking in them...

Now that is a good idea, and seemingly well balanced. There would need to be a place for ads though, and the chance to talk to the bounty hunter... Sounds like a decent idea.. in the Bounty Hunter sense.. not the just passing your kill rights to some uber person way.
