What is it with CCP and 1pt fonts?
Can we please please have three changes....
1. Add a bigger font size in the game (above 12 pixels) for menus
2. Add a bigger size setting on the chat windows
3. Let IE resize the text on this forum
My eyesight is pretty good, and corrects to perfect with contacts and I have never suffered eyestrain when looking at monitors all day at work - but EVE is starting to become a chore with its teensy teensy type. I hate to think what partially sighted people go through to play this game. One of my corp mates described himself after a 2 hour session as "Looking like a Japanese Sniper" and he's not alone....
OK, I know that some will think I am nit-picking here because I can't find anything else to complain about, but thats not true. I love this game - but I love my eyesight more. Could CCP please have a look at this?

What the hell??!!   hehe are u one of those ppl that has windows running at 640x480 ??? :D i run windows at 11bla x bla and eve in a window at 1024 x 768 and the text in eve is friggen perfect aka normal, as in windows, as the text in all other apps/games, no bigger maby a pixel smaller lol, i like it, more info fits, and u need much info in this game, go see and optican if u cant read it while sitting some inches away from the screen 
btw, i'm nearsighted so maby i have a "bonus" or something lol, but hell
besides, there is a tiny button (LOL) in the chat window that makes the text there friggen HUGE  try that
God i gotta change my sig..

yes, if you are shortsighted you can get closer to the screen.
If I ran EVE at 640 it would be a lot BIGGER, whereas I run my screen at 16x12 so its a lot smaller. Reducing the screen resolution on an LCD doesn't help since you get more fuzziness. All I'm asking for is an option above 12 pixels for the text. You don't have to use it if you don't want to.
None of this affects the coding on the website which seems to prevent IE resizing text, which I suspect is illegal under the EU disability discrimination act.

It would be nice to use 1600x1200 but for the small text... what would be good about it is the fact that you can fit more stuff onscreen like scanners etc and still see what's going on around you.
As it is I use 1280x1024 as optimal... What would be even better would be an option to use a second screen for the dialogs... Hell that's what I do with Flight Simulator and it's great.

Eve fonts are actually the best fonts i have ever seen in a game. They fir perfect wsith the atmosphere and so far its my favorite scheme in a game of all time.

Just hold down the Ctrl button and a little magnifying glass will appear for you to use.
I like the fonts the way they are right now.

I'm not saying we should change the fonts, just add an option beyond 12 pixels so that people can _optionally_ use a larger size. At the moment you have to make compromise between the text size and a graphics, which seems silly when so much work has gone into the graphics.
Hmm Mozilla does resize text - Thanks :) (shame its only used by a tiny proportion of users but hey)

Im playing eve full screen 1600 x 1200 in a 17" monitor and I don't have any problems reading from it. In fact, I love eve because it really can use a high resolution, not just for the eye candy.

The man asks to have an option enabled which would affect nobody who chose not to use the "OPTION", but yet you all have to go on and on about how everything is just perfect and how dare he ask for such a silly thing.

Here's the problem though..
CCP has a terrible track record when it comes to making options. They usually just change stuff without adding an option to leave it the way it was.
It has nothing to do with the original poster.
