More and more regularly my Eve client(s) are suffering from horrific memory leaks. This has only started happening since the last patch. Most often happens when running two or more clients on the same machine, but the fps drops to about 1 per minute and the hard disk starts fragging as RAM drops to zero and pagefile skyrockets. The only way out is to reboot the machine and hope it doesn't happen again. Clearing the cache doesn't seem to have resolved the issue.
Running XP on an Intel Pentium 3Ghz Dual Core, 2Gb RAM, 8800GTX on an ASUS P5WD Mobo. Have 15Gb spare on the swapfile HDD.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Im getting a similar problem. If I run 2 clients I get bogged down to about 5fps. I play my clients windowed with no sound. My other problem is that running 2 clients will eventually crash my pc. It just freezes and I have to restart manually.
Im running Vista Home Premium (32 bit) which Im told is part of the problem, but even so their should be some sort of support for this.
Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz, 2gb DDR2, GeForce 8400M GT, and although theyre not used not used I have a Sigmatel HD and Realtek HD sound cards.

Edited by: Gibson Rothman on 10/10/2007 19:19:38 Same. Ive done the whole uninstall / reinstall fresh even deleted the hidden cache folder and all.
Before the last client patch I could run 10+ clients (dont ask)
Now I can barely run 3 clients. And yes it is a horrific memory leak I watched task manager assign over a gig in memory to one client.
It happens randomly there seems to be no trigger that I cna find, with sound on / off, any configuration of graphics so forth. I dont think theres any support yet because not a huge amount of players run more then 1 - 2 accounts.

Time to start spamming those bug reports. This has only started since the last patch.

I am experiancing exactly the same problem when running one client in windowed or full screen my fps has dropped way down. In windowed mode it averages at 5fps, full screen it averages at about 11fps. I have a 3.2 gig pentium 4, nivida 7600gt with 2.5 gig of ram, and over 40 gig of HD free. I've tried all of the above and had no change. To live is to die, and to die is to give life. Thus pain is a form of euphoria.

OK. Do any of you people use XFire? This was the only thing that I can think of that'd changed recently (just had an update), and it has caused issues with other games in the past. I just quit XFire and am running 5 clients happily. If you do, try quitting and then reproducing the problem. If it is XFire, then we file a bug report to them, not CCP :)
