Hello again.
I thought I'd try something different to my old movies (namely Project Mayhem) and try to provide a movie which is both full of action and informative as to the events in Catch region over the last month.
FAT- Camp is a movie detailing the major fights which lead to the claiming of FAT-6P by the Band Of Brothers with help from Alliance forces.
A few notes before you begin:
1. The footage is mainly large fleet-scale battles including hundreds of pilots. However, it is not a slideshow, and the vast majority of the footage is very, very smooth. The footage is also frapsed with a great deal of quality; 6x Anti-aliasing, full graphics settings in eve, and full effects / turret effects.
2. The stats provided are provided as they are displayed from killboard.net, and as such do not include losses for Allied alliances other than Band Of Brothers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
You'll need the CCCP (codec pack) or VLC (standalone player) in order to play the video. Also note you need a pretty fast computer to play it back without stuttering. If your computer is too slow to play the video at full speed, download this codec pack and install *only* the included CoreAVC. If you have the CCCP or FFDshow already installed, disable H.264 decoding in its video codec settings to activate CoreAVC.

With down them all I got to 98% completion, then the whole file erased and i have to do it all over again, was kind of interesting watching my file go -5666 kb/s =/

Really well done movie, everything just fits with the story you are trying to tell. I`d allmost wish BOB best of luck so you have enough material for a new cinematic!

We can also see all the chat you attempted to hide, badly.
Tbh, it's not that important to hide. It's just good to hide incase a POS password pops up during a fight. None of the points where you can see it show any vital information
And Pendulum is overused in Eve videos, but hellmarch? AFAIK it's never / rarely been used

I rarely give any comments to movies that I have seen but this was actually worth it. It wasent one of thoose flashy flashy movies but it was a good blend of camerawork and style. The little texts that was presented was also a good pointer while watching it since you knew what the heck was going on :P

What repper were you running there in the scenes with your carrier and you had 100% cap, i guess it was lagg but why was it active?

prob some desync, but I guess he had it turned on for safty due to the insane lag, so a carrier can easlye perma run a singel cap rep anyway and still be able to jump out at any point. Also Im guessing he got a titan or something in gang giving sweet cap bonuses. so it might not be desync aswell.

Fantastic video , it's absolutely memorable. If it weren't for the lag , I'd be tempted to join such fleet fights.

Yes, that was one big lag. In almost all fights i was there i couldnt even lock ppl. Yes, like you show in your movie, but all time long, and its not about computer or internet speed - i have good ones.

the complete lack of lag bar locking time is rather amazing, for instance you seem to be able to see the fleet. . .id love to know how you do it mate. . .any tips? because i know for a fact that 99% of other people dont get that with all the effects off let alone with them on!
thirdly when you lay out the kills and deaths like that (with the 2000% more kills of bobs side rather then ours dispite greator numbers on our part) just looks wrong . .. surly ether your figures are wrong (which frankly i doubt) or im starting to believe in the "bob cheat" thing lol!
Good support and fleet commanding get you a good kill to death ratio . . .not an insain one lol!
anyway i dont want to bring all that up here.

The lack of lag is uhm...not there? There was ****loads Took me a half hour to load the fleet in one of the fights.
And the k/d is slightly out, and losses included are only BoB specific ones, not losses for allies of BoB.

i remember that day local got up to 750 and 90% of our fleet were lag warping out randomly half the time lol
i remember module activation was in how many cups of coffee you could drink before it actualy activated!

My computer doesn't seem to be able to handle decoding it , maybe its juts having an off day.
I have disabled the H.264 Decoding thing, but that doesn't seem to help.
Oh well, if I remember I will take a look when I have a better computer near by. Less there is anything I can do to make it work better.
For what its worth, I have a P4 2. with 1GB mem. Should that be enough? I know its out dated, but I am too poor to get a new one quite yet.

P4 2Ghz might be too slow for that resolution... P4s are pretty crap at video encoding/decoding. CoreAVC should be enough... should.

Try CoreAVC first, if its still too slow, badger Lofty to encode a lower-res version.

Great Vid Lofty thanks for a glipse into the FAT thing.
My only minor critisism would be the music
Most notably the use of a cover of Smack My ***** Up, when the original Prodigy version is superior in every way. Yackety Sax is so overused as a comedy peice also.. there are other dittys out there you know!

Amazing quality.
Movies like this.. set the standard.
I shall never be able to watch crap movies where one can't read anything of what's going on. 1 or 2 small typos on the overlay messages, but it's compensated all the rest, as the overall quality isn't affected.
