I was in Oisio doing the occasional mission that sent me into low sec, i got bored and ended-up looting player wrecks in the belts (looks like there had been a fight) and got 4 million worth of thingies, i was shocked, it would have taken me at least 20 of the agent missions i was doing to get that...so I got bored of the missions and though it would be funny if i could get to NOL on aut-pilot.
I did. I only met one BoB sabre on the way there and once in NOL i mined some luminous Kernite with an empty BoB Ibis I found on the scanner and started shooting the Alamo's Cloning facility with my civillian railgun. A heron undocked and just sat there doing nothing, then and interdictor popped out and I ejected and ran back to my safespot where I put a condor. Then i scanned down an empty gallente shuttle and boarded that, it's nice and fast.
The problem was I couldn't dock at any of the stations so i thought i'd head to FAT (the only other 0.0 3 letter name place i'd heard about) - at this point utterly amazed at having had the pleasure of being targetted by three people who couldn't even be arsed to fire, or speak. The 16 jump route to FAT was almost devoid of people, perhaps 5, in total, appeared in local chat. I got to fat and there were EIGHT people there, i was expecting hundreds...ok...I went to the belts and looted 2 modules, only to find the nearest place I could sell them was at the 'IAC bottleshop', so I headed there and they let me dock for only 2k isk, awesome ^_^
I sold the two modules i'd looted in FAT and...well there's not much to do here, but what did come accross my mind was being a trader, using a frigate to transport modules between systems, salvage abandoned wrecks, that kinda thing...is that a viable profession for someone with very little eve experience to do in 0.0? mission running is boring :o/
Oh, and where is everyone in 0.0, I got to NOL on autopilot, i expected a quick death! are they all just spread out reaaaly thinly?

You got lucky is all 0.0 is not normally this friendly most alliances operate what is known as NBSI (Not Blue Shoot It) some operate NRDS (Not Red Don't Shoot).
By all means give it a go if thats what you want to do, but be aware that eventually you'll come across someone who will shoot first and not even bother to ask questions.
Good luck in your endeavor if you decide to go ahead and props to you for having the nads to get out there and see for yourself.

0.0 is so named because it generally has 0.0 people in it. 0.0 is really boring. its good money for nub tho go there loot some random wreck make 5M.

Depending on where you are, who you fly with, what you are doing, and how good you do it... 0.0 space is as safe as high-sec (or safer even). And the pew-pew is closer to home to boot.

Should have looked harder. Delve is Blood Raider (NPC) space and next to NOL is PR-. Next to that is 1DH and FWST, A-E and a gazillion other stations anyone can dock at. BoB lives on the frontlines and not in Delve though. :)
