Edited by: Cpt Trenchard on 22/02/2004 20:16:54 I had trouble for a long time with NPC's best I have found on an Omen for spawn hunting is 4 Medium focused lasers. You have to get closer than with Havies but they fire much faster and use half the Cap for a very nominal drop in DOT. I have successfully taken up to Sancha Juggernaughts(45k Rat) with them several times. If I know I am going against missile spammer have had good luck with a heavy laser and a 720 mm forget the shield and mount a Medium Armor repairer.
Forgot I use an MWD instead of an AB with the Med focused cap is still not an issue and it provides a quick escape when needed.

Anything goes with the Omen, as it is one of the game's most flexible ships. It has the powergrid of a Level 3 cruiser for a level 2 price. I've seen people put anything from heavy beams to rails to 650s and 720s artilleries, and they all seem to work fine.
My personal ship has 2 named Heavy Pulses (masers) on it, and 2 focus modulated beams on the rear, with an extruded heatsink.
The Omen is truly one of the workhorses of this game. Its a true classic, and its popularity and usefulness has never diminished no matter how many patches have changed the nature of this game.

Also the sweetest looking ship ever made in Amarr space.

Did love my Omen, looks far better than the "harder" Maller. Saying that i reckon the best looking Ammarr cruiser is the rarely used Arbitrator.
