hello,
I just started a day ago and i am already loving this game :) reminds me of the early days of jumpgate.[some might remember it]
i started as a miner/manufactoring fool who will slowly be building up my combat/pve/pvp skills. so if you see me mining, give a shout-out or laugh at the crazy miner who one day might be on your tail with small projectiles blazin', either way, you wont be getting rid of me
i am in it for the long haul!

Ignore him, it's normal for new players who like the game to come in here and excitedly tell us all that they love it and want to stay forever

Don't burn out quick because the game seems like it's all fun and games and happy times in space. 
Know that it's a really harsh galaxy, and a lot of players (myself included) will not treat you kindly.

First thing to remember here, EVE is know as one brutal PvP forum community. Some people spend more time flaming the forum then playing the game, just ignore them.
That said, welcome to the game and remember the golden rule, Enjoy yourself.
