I'm not asian but many of my friends are. And they were surprised to see that there's no asian-looking choice when doing your portrait (but caucasian and afro-looking choice).
Will this "choice" be possible in (near) future ?

We've had rumours of a 6th race focusing on Asian characteristics... or it might be added as a bloodline to existing races

from what ive heard this will happen when eve releases more into asia
with a european only launch i might have understood it better but launching in the US means u need EVERY race type....
owell its their first game and they are from iceland.....

Maybe all those viruses wiped out the asian races or people just became even more xenophobic and those people were left behind on earth.
Me I'd say at least one of the bloodlines of every race can be generated to look asian.
If I wanted my character to represent me I could argue that there isn't any true blond options out there, white haired millenia old amarrians don't count. Neither are there any bald gallente...

Are we back to people wanting to outlaw golliwogs because they're all black? Are we back to not being allowed to call a blackboard a blackboard, even though it patently IS one because it isn't purple?
 As far as I can tell, the four races we get to choose from look like nothing on God's earth. So I don't really see why this would bother anybody. I never used to complain when I played backgammon and there were black pieces, but no Caucasian ones.

I don't think it would be a crime to add more portait to current races. It just takes time and money for artists and is probably considered low priority

Caldari are of Asian decent. They just don't have the appearance they do now. After 21,000 years... stuff happends.
Intaki appear to be of Indian decent...

I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

Jovian looks like decomposed flesh.
I dunno what is the cost to add a new "face lift" to the game ...
Maybe some of us will be jaleous to not have the choice to have neat eyes

There are infact 6 races in eve, not 5. There are the Minmatar, Amarr, Gallente, Caldari, Jovians, and a "Pirate" race. Anyone who has been ceo or director and looked at corp details has seen these all listed.
I believe that the Caldari were suppose to be Japanese, just look at their names in the background stories, very japanese like I think.
What I think happened was they switched the two types between caldari and the pirate race. When I see the caldari often times I think they look like badass pirate types.
The space that is not connected to regular space, and is not Jove space, is the pirate race space.
I wouldn't be too surprised if when this 6th race is introduced that they are asian

lol. You read to deep my friend. I hope that people realise that what is in a game has no implications of real life. Otherwise, uhg. Just look at the Minmatars. Black (well half fo them are, least the playable ones) and enslaved  . I don't think anything of it though. But lets not get off subject here.
