CCP should consider organising events like this more often...
And be prepared for them.
Maybe a bold idea, but why not organise an Armageddon day (24 hours of pure madness) every month, using TQ and rolling back the database ?
It might even serve as a monthly stresstest for TQ :)

It's the test server.
Would you like CCP to ignore Tranquility - you know, the one where they expect upwards of 30,000 people at any given time - and spend their resources on the place they test the next patches?
Train some Common Sense to level 1 at least. I'd even buy you the skillbook.
They should have known this would happen and have planned this a bit better. Buy that Common Sense for CCP

The people who think they're hogging the queue are funny, if you don't connect within about 3 minutes after getting to #1, you get reset into the queue.
Also, Sisi has a fraction of the power of TQ, the capacity issues are hardly surprising.

Well I should not have expected anything more than a complete screw up for something like this, it just took 90 minutes or close to it to get to attempt to login to the SiSi server and all that I get when I attempt to login is the EVE cluster is full and thrown back in the line to 1097 or some stupid number.
Seriously when you advertise that you are giving people Super Characters how many people do you think will turn up? I mean even at the last stress test when people got what they had there was enough people to lag the system so badly that modules were taking 3 minutes to activate. So calling this an Armageddon day was about right cause it was doomed to die a painful death even before it started an hour later than the approx time it was advertised to start.
Now talking to people that have been lucky enough to get onto the server I find out that in some places the market is taking forever to even load.
Personally I have given up waiting to give my time to help stress test a server that is really nothing like the TQ server other than the fact it is owned by the same people, oh and it crashes when trying to start it up.
For those people that got to use the server grats to you, I don't know what the lag is like but I hope it isn't too bad for you all. For those that have been through the cue and have been sent to the end again but are still there waiting, well I don't know what to say to you people other than you must not have much to do in your life &/or you are THE most patient people I have ever seen.
To CCP, what can I say other than I can sort of understand why things don't go too well ingame now. Maybe the hiring of someone that is better with planing and better with databases might help with a lot of the problems you face.
