lol i knew ccp would do this lets put on a day where everyone has 480mil sp's on the test server but still only let 200 of the 30k at the gates in. Good job at thinking this one through d/a's

i'm pretty sure i've moved backwards in queue but in all honesty does not surprise by any of ccp's standards as we all know those super-alliance people have the right of way in eve ( or anybody with alot of isk since this is no longer a skillpoint game =( like it was meant to be )

well honestly what did you expect? it's not like they'd upgrade the test server that much just beceause they are having an armegedon event

Don¦t worry guys. I traveled half of universe to get to perimeter and got podded by 2 erebuses of CCP. :) Got back to another side of universe, so have to travel it again. :) It¦s so much fun!!

well if you ask me they shouldnt have announced it and just left it as a nice surprise for the normal test server carebears then nobody would have even cared. But if you come out and make an announcement like this then yeah people are going to expect to adleast get to log in during the event! And how are they going to implement walking around in things when they cant even get the freaking log-ins correct to the game that already exists.
That's my 0.2 isk now take a note ccp and dont tell people about this unless you can support it

I just pressed connect when I hit #1 in que... now I'm #1200 something...
what happen? I had this whole old new model fraps video I was going to make with todays server :/
I was going to fraps ships and guns and gun effects on everything.
but now for no reason I have been booted back...
kinda uncool, I guess it can't be helped, but I've been booted back 3 times now, I've been #1 in que 3 times.

Same here, waited my time in line patiently playing Halo 3 in the next room over pausing and checking from time to time when finally #1 in line, waited while server was "Authenticating", then about a minute later only to be told 'connection failed due to server time out'... Woohoo great, guess I can go back to playing Halo 3 for the rest of the event time because I know I won't be getting a chance to get on until everyone else is on... (if that ever happens)

Three hours to get to #1 in the queue, followed by a swift connection timeout and a boot to the back of the queue.
CCP, it makes it hard to defend you when you fail so comprehensively. This is another one of those failures.
Where exactly does our subscription go?

And, yes, on both my TQ and test installs. Actually the test install says to use TQ.

Oh hey, now the server's down.
Sometimes I dream of what EVE would be like if it were run by Blizzard. Or any competent company, for that matter.
Just for fun, let's make a list of how to succeed as CCP:
*Create a great game in a ridiculous code. Stackless python for an MMORPG. Check.
*Combine woefully inadequate hardware with terrible customer service. Check.
*Take an hour out of every single day to maintain said woefully inadequate hardware/buggy code, still manage to make the game unplayable when more than 200 players are in the same place. Check.
*Upgrade woefully inadequate hardware to merely inadequate hardware, fail to do anything about the ridiculous code and rather than building a new client in a decent code, just apply band-aid after band-aid that after time merely adds to the jumble. Check.
*Charge $15 USD a month for the privilege of playing a game that is buggy, poorly coded and poorly maintained. Check.
The worst thing about it is that it has the potential to be such a great game. Even as is, it's better than most MMORPG's on offer as far as gameplay is concerned. It was a great idea, but very, very poorly executed. Pick up your game CCP, because your customers can only stand so much.
Sorry for the rant, but I feel it says alot of things that need to be said.

I feel like a total idiot for thinking I was going to actually get to log on to SiSi today for the "event". Like so many others I got up early (7am) to try and log in only to have the same que crap happen over and over. The irony of today is that it's my birthday and I thought " what an awesome gift from CCP ". The gift of dis appointment!
