So is there a place where i can read up on what changes are deffinitly going to be included in Rev 3? I see lots of people talking (rabble, they're boosting this, they're nerfing that, rabble) about upcoming changes and quoting random bits of text, but i can't seem to find the official line on whats going down? The Dev blogs bit doesn't seem to have anything, unless i'm being a noob.

No. Because if you've been reading things, Trinity is in fact, not Rev III.

So far the dev blogs have only talked about some vague bits here and there, no real details. No doubt eventually they'll work up a Features page like the other expansions. Maybe keep an eye on it and the dev blog area for more detailed stuff.

Full patch notes are not yet available. What people are posting from are either dev blogs or information they have gleaned from the test server.
There are still holes big enough to drive a Caterpillar 793B through, so take anything you read as wild speculation until an official CCP post.

the devs realized that every single rev trailer has advertised factional warfare... now seeing as factional warfare isn't in the game... and as the WHOLE point of revelations... they changed the name. ----------------------------------- I'm working my way through college target CCP need...more room... |

Because it isn't Rev III anymore. Amazing how that works.

I've changed it just for you Anarchyyt.
I guess i'll jsut have to keep an eye on the website and see if CCP release anything official closer to the time.
I only ask because i got stung for a billion isk in useless kit post-REV 2 and would rather avoid doing so again.

"Revelations 3.0.0", a.k.a. "Kali 3", a.k.a. "EVE-Online : Trinity" (40-50 MB mandatory patch) will feature the new Trinity-II graphics engine (EVE was running on "Trinity" a.k.a. "Trinity-I" until now) and a lot of other stuff, including but not limited to new models/textures (optional patch download, around 700 MB - 1 GB), etc.

This is almost as funny as that classic LucasArts game:
Star Wars, Dark Forces III, Jedi Knight II, Jedi Academy. Then there was an update pack for it, and I just gave up.

I think CCP was getting tons of negative feedback to the idea of factional warfare (at least in the proposed design), and it was very complicated to design....so they preemptively nerfed it and are getting more important things out of the way first.
A very good move IMHO.
I'm just guessing though.

Oveur's dev blog on the EVE Online: Trinity expansion.
CCP Explorer: Where in Oveur's blog does he say "Eve Online: Trinity" as far as I can tell from the blog, trinity is only the name of the graphics engine update (more specifically Trinity II is the engine's name itself). It may be otherwise internally, but as far as I can see Trinity has never been used as the official name for the upcoming expansion (which I had believed was called "Revalations III") as far as the player base is concerned.
Could we please get a definitive answer regarding this, not that its terribly important or anything, I'm just curious (also, feel free to tell us where the name "Kali" came from) --

Originally this was supposed to be Revelations III, and we used that name for it when discussing it on the forums. The big thing about Revelations III was Factional Warfare, which unfortunately had to be postponed. Since this patch will contain Trinity II we decided to name the patch EVE Online: Trinity rather than EVE Online: Revelations III. The reason we didn't call it Revelations III or Trinity in that devblog is because the name was not announced yet when it was written.
Kali is the codename for the Revelations expansion series, Revelations was kali1, Revelations II was kali2 and Trinity will be kali3. It's just an internal name.

So does this mean when Revelations III comes out it will be "Kali 4" ?
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
I guess so, unless someone changes something.The codenames aren't really important for you guys though, it's more an internal thing.
