Humans didn't evolve from cats we evolved from apes. I'm relativly sure the human gene and cat gene are fairly far apart.

I'm realativly sure that if you look at at the genome you'd see less than a 5% difference between any two animals in the kingdom, and less than 1% between any two humans.
