What is an average turn around time for a courier contract?
I usually get the hauling done myself but decided to try a few courier contracts but I find they are not getting picked up, and I'd like to think they're well paying to the competition (Actually probably over paying in comparison to some I've seen for the same amount of work). They aren't long distance either. One is 10k m3, 7 jumps through high sec space.
Am I being impatient or just a stupid noob?

It depends on location/size/reward, but generally all my couriers are done under 24 hours, small ones in few hours usually, larger ones (freighter) takes a bit longer (especially if they start in distant system and reward is not worth of solo delivery).

I've also discovered that it seems packages cannot be placed in GSCs, which cuts my carrying capacity down almost 4,000 m3. Dunno if this helps you at all, but thought I would put it out there. ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |

I've had a couple courier contracts that were through all high-sec space, decent reward (7.5m, IIRC, but it did require a freighter) but nobody was taking it. I spammed it in Amarr local 2 or 3 times, and it was done in an hour :)

Hmm, then the vote for now is impatient and I'll wait a while longer. Thanks!

7.5 mil for a freighter load eh? I'd hope it was only a few hops... because that is a lot of time spent hauling for only 7.5 mil. But hey, I guess some people consider their afk flight times to be fairly cheap.
Is this a common price for a freighter to haul stuff in empire?

Most freighter services I've seen advertised are like 400-500k a jump. Nothing else considered, 7.5 mil would cover about 15 jumps. If it's not a full freighter load and it starts at a hub then they can grab multiple contracts and make it even more worthwhile.

Is this one-way travel? I thought the 500k per jump was there and back.

I pay 100-200k for indys and 200-400k for freighters per jump. Because most indy haulers optimize their cargo for GSC, they tend to have a cargo bay of 3k, 6k, 9k, 12k, etc. So shaping your packed to this size make em happy.

You may be right about the advertised services, I'm not sure. Either way I still wouldn't be surprised if there was many people (the ones who don't advertise) who do contracts for a lot less than that, especially if it's between hubs.
