After sizing up the situation we decided to engage a merc Typhoon on a gate. It was pretty clear that there were 4 of these merc guys in local, so it looked like it was going to be 6 on 4, a perfectly even fight considering we were going to have tank sentries. So we engage, two more hostiles show up at the gate. Then suddenly, a cyno followed by a Nyx. This was very humorous, as not only were they only able to get two of us, but we were able to loot our own wrecks while escaping. Afterwards, a stream of smack came from the Nyx pilot and his crew. This is the second time in two days that a MoM pilot who has jumped into a fair fight has smacked someone in my presence for choosing to night die to 20 fighters. I've got to say, low sec is going seriously downhill. -Karl The best

I bet that number of MS will probably increase and thus the likelyhood of dying to one. It really depends, if your gang consists of only BS's then the sentries really don't matter. If you're ecm/nano heavy sentries will really screw you up though. Yarr

Besides, if one needs a Nyx to kill two of us, it smacks of something lame. Oh, btw. I misspoke, there were indeed 6 of us flashys and 4 of them (none flashy.) However One of our pilots was in a Taranis, so completely unable to engage at the gate. By your own math, that makes the fight even. -Karl

Last time I checked a 6 man gang was not a blob. Additionally, as I've said, we had a pretty even fight until the Nyx showed up. The ridiculous part of the story isn't necessarily that a Nyx showed up (it is a tad ridiculous) but that twice in less than 2 days I've seen a Nyx jump into a fight, then smack after those they jumped on disengaged. The first time this happened there was an Abso, tanking sentries, fighting a Domi outside a station. The Domi's corp mate appeared in a Nyx and engaged the Abso. When the abso pilot docked, a stream of smack talk about how "pathetic" the Abso pilot was for having (after tanking the Nyx, the Domi, and sentries for 30 seconds) docked. Good stuff. -Karl

The gang consisted of a Sleip, a Domi, A Mega, An Ishtar, A Thorax, and a Taranis. What does that tell you about the fight? -Karl

If they made it so super caps can't go into low sec then ok i guess thats acceptable considering they are immune to ew thus(in the hands of a smart pilot)are almost un-killable but capitals not being allowed into low sec? Comeon thats just plain dumb. Really the only caps in low sec you see are carriers and with a gang of 6-10 bs that are good pvp'ers you can kill it easy. Dreads you sometimes see in low sec but only in cap fights so it doesnt really matter at that point (dreads are only good for killing other cap ships and pos's) Please dont whine or caps will end up like nos and drakes (the original ones on sisi) And get hit with TomB's nerfbat of ruination Signature -=YYYAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!=- Winning or Losing doesn't matter, as long as the fight itself was good. We just found it funney that such force is needed nowadays to kill something, be it mom's or 50+ gangs. In time when roughly %50 of all piolets are in capital ships, what's the point of anything smaller?

Not you in particular, but its interesting to see the response from some people in here, especially considering what they chose to post about. As for your post I agree mostly, the story was meant to point out the ridiculousness of low-sec these days. For instance, why do I now see MoMs in fights almost every friggen' day? Then to smack talk when 1 to 4 tiny ships run away? Hell, if I were a MoM pilot I wouldn't smack if a Carrier ran away. But I do disagree though, it is ALL about the entertainment. After all, this is a game we're playing, right? -Karl
