Can someone please define the relationship between the learning skills an Cybernetics. Does cybernetics have any benifit before skills are at level five? |

My best guess would be: You need it to wear Implantats

Edited by: Severe McCald on 24/02/2004 16:48:25 Learning increases your rate of acquiring new skills.
Implants also effectively increase the rate of acquiring new skills, by raising your attributes (eg. intelligence, willpower etc).
You need cybernetics to wear implants. Lvl 1 to wear basic implants and higher lvls to wear better implants (currently very rare).
The learning skills, other than learning itself, increase your attributes in a similar way to implants. By one for every level. So, spatial awareness increases perception by up to 5.

And Moses was content to dwell with the man:and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom:for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land. |

It might be worth mentioning that if you are new to the game (unless you have access to lots of isk for some reason) I would ignore implants and cybernetics for now. Focus on increasing learning skills and making some isk.
Somewhere on these boards there is a post which gives the optimum order for progressing the learning skills.
Good luck.

All my learning skills are at level 4. It's going to take each one over 9 days to get to five.
Would it be more time efficient to train up cybernetics and get some implants?
Does the attribute boost they give make that much of an impact?

Edited by: Carolynn on 25/02/2004 12:56:41 You get learning points each minute. You get <first attribute for skill> + 1/2*<second attrib> points. (+Learning Skill 2% per level)
If you have Perception 10 and Willpower 10 for example, you receive 15 points per minute.
If you have all attrib skills at 4 you have Perc 14 and Will 14 = 21 pts per minute = 40% more (+Learning skill) If you put them to 5 thats 22,5 points or 50% more. (+learning)
You have to decide yourself if its worth it... i stopped at 3 but i will raise them when i start to get more skills to 4-5 than now.
Ah and cybernetics: Implants are rare and cost 10 millions up... so it not worth it until you are way richer.

implants are something you shouldn't worry about until you've been playing the game for a fair amount of time. they cost a great deal of money and are very hard to get hold of. your time and isk will be better spent on other things..

Thanks to all who responded to the cybernetics question. I am relatively new to the game and impressed with how fast others give a helping hand.
