Abuse of trust/sexual exploitation/even blatant pedo bear activity exists, has always existed and will continue to exist. Obviously, pedo's should be dealt with harshly, but the rampant media-driven fear frenzy on this and other 'hot topics' needs to be stopped. So should 'scientific' studies that pull numbers from the deepest, most foul part of their arses. If it wasn't about rape/pedo/terrorism any 'scientist' claiming a 90% under-reporting rate would be laughed at and labeled a *****pot. In the province that I live in, mothers have been whipped into a fearful panic by the media publishing pedo bear stories all of the time. Yet, stats on pedo's from the Justice Institute show the problem is no worse than before, is not likely going to rise to higher levels and poses the same or less danger to people's children than it used to (statistically speaking). Let's all agree to kill the reporters, hmm? They're worse than ambulance chasing lawyers. At least you know the lawyers are scum.
