I freaking hate this clamping down of media, the idiots in charge don't have a clue. Do they believe they are heroes in some warped way or do they know they are alienating their potential audience.
Why don't they just suck it up and accept that the modern world is beyond their current distribution thingies.
Instead of *****ing about people trying to get hold of what they are trying to sell, why not just put ads, which can be localised depending on IP between their progs so they still get islies, peeps still get their content and the world is a better place.
I heard there were problems within the ranks when there were talk of such things as everyone wanted the biggest part of the pie.
Noobs.
These guys need to get their heads out of their arses as someone will go for ad based content withing the next few years (hopefully), and all those idiots who are currently conning...ahem, I mean suing peeps will be completely out of the loop.

Well, maybe if they would provide a LEGAL way to watch some of this stuff online, then more people might pay for it. In the UK the only legal option seems to be iTunes but the shows they have are UTTER CRAP compared to the American offerings...

Since when is linking to youtube/other video sites illegal? If this is the case then I expect the EVE forum servers to be raided within a month.

I was really disappointed when Jack Black spoken against illegal downloads. Music and films is supposed to be artistic expression. Somehow they've turned into a cash *****s. Tbh, I don't mind paying for stuff.. but I do not like to support actors/artists that seem to be making millions upon millions. Good bands can make more money from gigs and actors get way too much for what they do.

Actually the ppl who consolidate media power know very well what they are doing. Next thing in their list is internet. PPL now have a choise either sit idle and watch it happen or react to it. Btw the private media will not make any headlines about it when they try to take internet down.
