Get a small knife (the thicker the blade, the better, as you need to apply torsion, and you don't want it to break). Slowly insert the knife into the cork (the thicker it is, the harder it will be, so... well... you get the idea). When it's in deep enough, start rotating the knife/cork, and SLOWLY pull it upwards while you keep rotating. _

Thick towel and wall might also do the trick (slowly bump it into the wall, cork side facing away from wall/towel), but you risk splashing (some of) the wine all over the place when the cork pops... and you get a very "upset" wine which I personally don't like to drink very much  The blade-as-corkscrew option is best, tried and true, many times so far. _
