Edited by: Arianna Xi on 21/10/2007 02:30:13 So I'm halfway thru my 14 day trial, and thinking about purchasing the game. My question is, if I buy the account before my trial ends, will I "lose" the remaining free time? Or would the time be added to the account? *edit* I do not mean to buy a game card.

That's a common misconception. Acquaintance of mine bought a GTC and activated his trial before it was over, GTC time was added to remaining time.
Not sure if it was a feature or a bug, but that's how it was for him. _

I subscribed with a credit card whilst I still had about 8-9 days left on my free trial account.
Account management shows that my next subscription payment is due 30 days from when I authorised the card payment.
I lost those free days. I'm somewhat irritated at that really. In the account management screen, the option to subscribe showed something like "Extend trial". It didn't really extend it, it removed the remaining free days.
If I had known, I'd have waited until after the trial expired before subscribing.

I had the same thing happen when I subscribed with 12 days left on the trial. I heard later that it is supposed to keep the free days and that you could petition it to get them added if you wanted to.

My other account was activated using a GTC and also had the time added onto the trial. -------

Use a GTC, its the best way to insure that you don't lose any time. Training does continue if your account time has run out. With an alt account of mine I ran it for the 14 free days then I let a 4 day training run while it was 'expired' at the time I didn't know if training would continue or not while it was 'expired' but it did. Then I used a CC to activate the account and have been playing it since. Unless you have the time to dedicate to watching the time on the account you should use a GTC.
