Said letter was a preemptive letter in the event of something going wrong, as it has. There was an issue in the past that warranted writing such a letter.

I recently had a friend too who got into a motorcycle accident. While he had a full suit on and a helmet he still got torn to pieces. He was rushed to the ER with a collapsed lung. They fixed that but it appears that he's paralyzed from the waist down but in this case if luck is with him he may recover down the road.
Events like this remind us of how fragile we are. Even seeing him lieing there though with tubes and the neck brace I probably will never give up motorcycle riding.

I think CCP exercises some restraint for issues such as this. They may keep an eye on the account to see if someone does anything funny with it; like liquidate the assets and give them to a known or suspected ISK seller.
