Hamilton should have never tried to overtake Alonso in that first turn after the start, it cost him everything. Rookie mistake I guess, I would have loved to see him win the title. Oh well, still the best debut season for a rookie in F1 ever and England has a guy to be proud of and expect a lot from over the next years. __________

I wonder wtf happened to Hamilton's car in that lap. Gearbox? Electronics? Quite the hiccup no matter what happened. I got to give credit where credit is due though - Raikkonen won 7 races in 2007 and is a deserving champion. __________

I've been an F1 fan my entire life, so I don't care about nationality in drivers, I go on personality and ability, and seeing an arrogant prat like Hamilton bottle it is sweetness. I wanted Massa to win the title, but Kimi has worked his arse off, and he's very modest. Great job to the team i've supported my entire life Ferrari, in what has been a pretty decent championship. Here's hoping Massa wins the title next year and the Red Bulls deliver the great car that Newey has promised.

Regardless of typical English bias, Alonso is every bit as good as Hamilton, and probably better in the long run. Mclaren will have bugger all funding next year due to finishing bottom of the constructors, and along with internal chaos will probably fall down the grid next season. Ferrari on the other hand have 2 world class drivers that respect each other and are loyal to the team, they have a huge budget and rarely ever screw up a car. Plus it's likely that they will lure Ross Brawn back for next year.....to be honest, the 2008 championship is Ferrari's to lose.

If it weren't for technical difficulties in 2006 and 2005 i think he might have been world champ in those years too, but it wasn't to be. Hamilton is like the goons when they first arrived in EvE ;) An affront against the establishment (the "old" drivers), who didn't respect him at first, especially Alonso didn't get along with him. Hamilton came out of nowhere and was soon becoming the possible new world champion, but in the end the lack of expirience and not keeping his cool cost him the title. All he needed to do was 5th place, wich was easily possible with his car. But no, he tried to go for first and lost the race in the first lap. Maybe he will learn from it hehe. Noob.

Laugh; I nearly paid my license fee. Nobody watches Formula 1 to see a race where every driver gets round without incident. Look at the viewing figures after the weekend that took Senna and Ratzenberger... through the roof for the next GP. I propose that next season they give the people what they really want and bill it as..
