Hi, I have a corp and am trying to figure out a way to safely let corp members use the Blueprints wihtout them getting stolen. I've been trying for a while but nothing seems to work. Suggestions ------------------------ "Lead me, Follow me, Or get out of my way." -George Patton |

If you are the CEO or a director... you can place in a corporate hangar... then initiate and succesfully complete a "lockdown" of the bpos to the hanagar floor. The bpos will be able to be used in the station (or in the system labs if you have a pos) without the risk of them walking away from your corporation. Send me a mail in game if this doesn't make sense. I'd be glad to explain it further.

Make sure the bpos are in the corporate hanagar. Then go to your corporations and alliance icon (on the left of your screen, or navcom whatever you want to refer to it as... it's the big mac style icons on the left of your screen). Click on politics and click on new vote button that will be under the politics tab. Then click for the vote type... lock down. You will need to do this for each bpo you want to lock down.
Also I'd remove roles from the hanagar you are going to lock it down in till the lockdowns are complete as it can take some time.... especially if you have more than one or two bpos. Either way...
That's how you start it. The bpos will lock immediately but then you will need to go to the shares part of your corporation (i'll assume you are the ceo or director) and take shares. Then you simply vote "yes" on your shares for the lockdowns and viola in 24 hours... the bpos will be able to be used by your members.
I'd return the roles once the bpos are successfully locked down (IE when the vote closes after 24 hours with a yes) otherwise if they get voted no... then the bpos unlock after 24 hours and your risk having them walk away.

Thanks Neslo.
You taught me another something.
In the past I use to give "read only" access to one Hangar, which allowed members to use the BPO but not take it.

To use those bpos you'll need to allow them to rent factory/research slots, theres a role I believe.. They'll also need at least read access to the hanger where the BPO's reside..
To then build from the bpos, those people will need to drop the components/minerals into the hanger, but can choose the output of the build to go to another hanger they may take from etc..
Hmm this isnt exactly the right forum for this question I'm thinking tho.

Good Question, see below.

This is true. The Role is called Factory Manager.
If you want your builders to be able to rent a factory slot on their own... you will need to give them the role of Rent Factory Slot. (rent research slot if you want them to research your bpos) Factory manager does both research and factories btw for usage. It's the same tab... but before there was a science and industry tab... this was the role for both... so I'm sure it's why it's not been changed.

They will need to drop into one of the 7 corporate hangars. I would suggest NOT making corporate hangar 7 your build hangar. There is still a bug that even if they don't have roles... they can take things from this hangar. It's a bad hangar to leave as directors hangar or secure or whatever. If they don't have view access to hangar 7 it's hard to steal from there tho... so it's up to you. Locked BPOs in this hangar are safe as long as they are locked.
The BPOs need to be in a hangar that they can see. (this will allow them to "select" it from the science and industry window.) They do not need to be in the same hangar as minerals, materials, components, moduls/ships.... they simply need to be viewable. The hangar that is the "input" hangar needs to have view and take rights. This will allow the user to take minerals (etc) from the hangar into the build cycle... and then they can select a "output" hangar. They don't need "take" access... but it's usually customary that if you are having a builder build something or giving access to your members... to give them the take access of what they built.
FOR EXAMPLE (purely an example)... you could lock down the BPOs in Hangar 1 (give the user view access only to that hangar). Then give them Take / View access of Hangar 2. They can then select hangar 2 as the input / output location for their build materals. (select another hangar number if you wish them to deliver to another hangar... but you can't force it).

True, I would suggest going here first... it's the official players manual here on the website. http://www.eve-online.com/guide/en/g12.asp
Then I would suggest also going to this forum for further questions about corporations or really anything : Eve Citizens Q&A
They tend to be a little less lippy than in CAOD... I dunno the water in this place... makes people see things and say dumb things. Tends not to be friendly really. It's like a bar or saloon from the wild west movies... most people are drunk... or if they aren't... they got cards up their sleaves... or a gun under the table... so yeah...
