Hats off to Punkturis and friends. I like being able to move the buttons around, and to get rid of the ones I don't use. I also like eliminating a step to get to the calculator, that is boss.
Thank you CCP!!

Right click neocom and disable blink notifications. Not ideal in that it disables them all....
It would be nice to be able to remove chat from neocom though - in fact it has to be a bug as you can remove every other icon bar the bottom two and the top two (E menu and character).
Maybe CCP could do that while they're putting the "Militia" icon back |

Yea.... I'm starting to be pretty much done with Punkturis and friend also. We need UI devs who actually play the game and have a vision where functionality is more important than multimedia.

I think the new neocom is an improvement.
The reordering, grouping and customising for preferential use is a help.
It is also much more convenient to have minimised "relevant" material in the neocom than having to accomodate the bottom of the screen with window box positioning.
Since active mission content and other aspects do still get minimised accordingly to the necom. Whereas it seems other less frequently used tools are left obtainable from their respective neocom parent as before. This may be where the missgivings from pilots may arise however as it seems a little prescriptive as to which items get the continuation after minimising over others that simply close leaving to a need to open the parent icon again for the same feature.
This could be improved with customised options of allowing the pilot to set which windows appear in the neocom when minimised assuming the interface can accomodate a large number of them (perhaps with an off screen scrolling) as would then be possible I guess? It may be impractical to get a referendum on which windows are prefered as limited options from all pilots.

It's good to see EVE turn into a more modern game. The old neocom was clunky and inefficient, with so many buttons that I never use. |

The new Neocom is a huge improvement. Fully customizable - my neocom now loooks different for each character I have, depending on their needs. Great Work. |

I like it a lot, too.
Now I can get rid of all the buttons I don't need there and resize it for the best place/usability effect.
But there are some issues some people already mentioned like the minimize function. CCP should have a look at that and improve it a bit. |

I dont get this tbh. Instead of windows beeing minimized to the bottom of the screen, they are now minimized to buttons in the neocom. Is this really so hard? |

Don't know, I don't minimize my chat windows. No problem for me personaly. But I understand that this creates some inconvenience for people who tend to minimize their chat windows and like to know which of all the chat channels is blinking. |

Because the minimised buttons lack the labels and channel count that the minimised windows had. Removal of functionality purely for aesthetic purposes is never a good thing.
They were obviously stumped by what icon to use for these minimised buttons as well so they took artistic inspiration from road signs. So much for aesthetics.

Removing the insanity that is the "Chat" icon https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=61470
I wish that CCP had kept the the list of icons that I normally had open, took me ages to find where the corporation, notes and log had gone.
Also how the hell do I move the ships and items icons back up with the rest of the icons? |

Took me a few to get used to the new neocom. Had to go find all the icons I am used to using and put them where I want. My one complaint is that someone had the "bright" idea of putting the icons for ships and items down too close to the undock button. I mean really...think about it. People ARE accidentally going to click on undock and get pissed. At least make them moveable. EvE is not about PvP.-á EvE is about the SANDBOX! - CCP!-á Open the door!!! |

well nothing agaisnt neocom ..
but it seems i am unable to fix "custom sized" window. It allways switch to some "pre-fixed" size .. which is bad.. really bad..
Anyway i had to format / reinstall everything now.. because of some other problems.. so will see after i download EVE client again..
Since i was unable to run it.. it stucked with exefile.exe or whatever it is called in processes without any error message or anything.. nothing started...
Sorry for off-topic ..
New neo-com look nice.. but i hardly use it anyway.. so |
