Escaping reality is the great draw of MMOs. I just can't wait till I can play Eve wearing VR glasses while sitting in my own homemade pod.

Yep my kids...I have always been a sci-fi nerd. I grew up in the thick of the Star Trek/Star Wars phenomenom. My son said it would be a great way to stay in touch when he went off to college....instead of boring old IM. Well..my son doesn't play anymore too busy...but here I am addicted Val My husband said I must be trying to "relive" my youth with a portrait like that. Well he can "relive" his youth on the sofa tonight...just like his frat boy days when we met.

Hit random a few times until I had good base I liked, then fine-tuned it into something I liked. Although I did run into someone whose character looked very much like mine, but different clothes, background, etc. Was interesting. Some good portraits here. Almost makes me want to fiddle with the character portrait options to see what I could get.

I felt it was an important part of your identity at the time. I was very impressed with the multitude of options that could change your face. I really do like my portrait, and wouldn't change it even after all this time. I've noticed that a lot of Caldari guys are so similar looking with the squarish head and strong jaw, and i'm pleased that mine doesn't directly fall into that group. I also enjoy looking at other people's portraits. I even recognize the tiny faces in corp chat easier than the names. = ) Recently i went to explore the new character portraits of all the different races to see how interesting i could make the faces. I was disconnected every time after not very much time at all. I finally got fed up after about the 4th disconnect. It made me wonder if it was a problem on my end or EVE's... <3 Hi Norjia, remember my face = P D-F-A-A-B-A-A-S

Not really for the amusement for others, more like when I log into the game, I want to be greeted with a darn nice looking chick. Rather than some butt ugly fugu face that just shouts "gank me! gank me!"

This character portrait was my first attempt and I haven't changed or redone it since. I did have a mirror next to me while doing my character to match certain features of my own as well. I went to Eve-speed dating once and this Hottie called Saltire Chatted me up and he was ever so beautiful, but when we got back to my Pod he turned into a bear and touched me in my special place.
