So I live near Chicago, IL and I have a good connection (ISP company says 10mb). But I get horrible lag. I know its not my computer because I'm playing Crysis beta and that works fine. But selling items, flying around, targeting ships, all take about 6 seconds to register. I've played some other MMOs in my time I have never had lag like this before.
Do you guys think its because I live in the US and the servers are in London?

I'm in PhoenixAZ and it's the normal "lag" out here but not really new. I have no problems unless I'm in Jita. Is this something new your noticing? What systems are you in when it happens?

I also live in the outer chicago area and have comcast
your upload is very important. download is nice but you have to feed the server info
i have a older comp 3.2 pentium 1.5 gig o ram had a old 5600 grafics card and had no issues at all
id have to say either you are in a lagged system or your upload stinks or your setup isnt tweeked correctly

You should try a tracert to the server, maybe a router somewhere between you and the server drops packets.
I can't remeber the server IP address, it's something like 87.xx.xx.200... (sounds like a memory leak in my brain!)

I'll try with uTorrent off for a couple days and see how that goes. I usually populate around Korsiki, but I haven't ever been to Jita.

omg running a torrent in the background well id definatey have to say this is cause of most of your greif!!! eve is a cpu intence game and you need to free up as much as you realsticly can for the game to run in a decent playable fashion shut down everything you can
music players and that stuff no torrents in background
and your game should run a ton better

hehe, yeah the torrent is definitely your problem.
I live at 1200N in the city and have no issues whatsoever.
