When I started EVE my pc was sh1t, 700mhz, 256mb ram, 64mb vid card and I could play 2 accounts with ease, just take out all graphic options and you should be fine.
Now I have 2000mhz 1024mb ram, 256 vid card and I can play 3 accounts normally and 2 accounts even when in fleet battles.
Just remember to take off "sun occludion" or something simular else you might ctd alot. Spawn of the Devil

make sure you turn off the sun occlusion on both the accounts, should solve the problem. ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Waagaa Ktlehr, BDCI

Question to clarify... is this two seperate accounts or two characters on the same account.
I'm thinking the later as your "cut off" sounds alot like proxy interupt. (Happened to me once or twice when I was on and a friend logged into the account while I was on)

I run 2 clients just fine, 3 in a pinch.
Turn on interlace if your graphics card supports it, it greatly increases framerate and enables your computer to run 2 clients smoothly

Turn off the UI on the one you're not using (use CTRL-F9). It will give you a HUGE boost in frame rate.

Also remember to use two individual client installations. Don't try and run the same installation in two instances. _________________________________________________________

3 accounts running on a Pentium IV with 2,4 GHz, 512 MB RAM and a GeForce TI 4600 with 128 MB RAM. You have to disable the "ships occluded by sun" option though. -- Stories: #1 --

I've never turned off the sun occluded thingy and I never CTD, I'm not saying you keep it on or anything, just that it has never affected me running two clients at once

When you talk about 2 client installations, just making a copy of the Eve folder and renaming it, is it enough?

I have seen three instances run on one client with sun occlusion off but all graphics maximized. Desktop was set at 1280x1024, and each instance was run in a window sized 1024x768. All ran well. Only got choppy when one or more were at beginning or end of warp. Never had a crash in any window.
This was on a machine with an Nvidia mother board, AMD2400+XP, Nvidia FX5200 and around a gig of memory. Oh, and a cable connection. Gotta love cable. Stellar Products and Quality Resources ticker: SPQR established 6-03 |

Why? I run 2 and once in a great while 3 for a few minutes using the same install client and have no probs other than slow down due to my 512 RAM being used up.
