Anyone hear anything about this game, just noticed on the gearbox website. looks pretty damn cool.

It sounds very good indeed but my major turnoff is this:
They've got this great big open game with randomly generated levels and items and stuff like that and then the characters are just the generic "Lone wolf sniper" "full on combat guy" and "Sexy female spellcaster"
Really disspointing that you don't make your own character.

There is always something wrong eh? well hopefully it will still be good.
From what ive seen it looks like they went for variation in weapons and equipment rather than character, which might be interesting, although i would prefer both.

It's being developed for the console crowd. That is enough in my view to kill it right there. Even if the gameplay is good a million screaming kiddies in my game is a non-starter.
Dynamic missions sounds cool but it has been tried before and absolutely failed to live up to the promise. Perhaps they have gotten it right...one can only hope.
