Thats right I cant play eve because of a resolution problem. So basically if you can come up with a working solution to my problem I will transfer you twenty million isk.
Here is the thing I run three 22" monitors to play eve (or at least I will) when I get this working again, at a resolution of 3840x1024. I can play in 1920x480 without a problem but thats not why I have this setup to look at my client with super low res. Any ways I am running an ATI X850XT that has the ability to use the 3840x1024 resolution the problem is that ATI will defaultly disable the Direct 3D process at 2048x1536 resolution. This will not work because this resolution is for running two 24" monitors "I believe" Either way I need to change my Direct 3D settings to allow my ATI to utilize the higher resolution. Either that or go buy an Nvidia Card that does support it..(Wife says no for a few more weeks). Please see my system specs below and I will try and answer any questions you have to the best of my ability.
My Display Kit - 3x 22" Acer AL2015W Wide Screen LCD Displays - Running as Single monitor using the "Matrox TripleHead2Go ModuleLinkage
System Specs Asus A7N8XE-Deluxe AMD Athlon 3200 3.2GHz (I think) 3Gigs Of PC2400 PNY Ram ATI 256MB X800 XT AGP Video Adapter - Latest ATI Drivers - Have the Omega Drivers but rolled back Matrox TripleHead2Go Linkage to ATI Res Cap Linkage to actual module
Thank you so much for your time. Hope to get some good responses here.

Edited by: Gauss Belloid on 23/10/2007 13:35:26 Been doing a bit of research on the matter and as far as I can gather from various sources it sadly cannot be done with you current video card. Check this link for details:

I found this ...

... but I guess that's you too!
... later ... the answer is that you can't fo it with that card mate.

You'll need an ATI Radeon X2000 / HD 2000 Series, or an Nvidia card.
On the vague chance this warrants 20 mill, just give it to the first week or less old noob you see next time you undock, I'm OK for ISKies!

Yeah I've found that to be the truth also. However I have to wonder. If any Nvidia card can do it and the ATI cards cannot. Is there a way to inhibit the ati drivers from disabling the D3D process at that specified resolution?

Edited by: RaTTuS on 23/10/2007 13:42:25 No don't think so - it is to do with the internal architecture of the ATI cards - they cannot render d3d at that res -- BIG Lottery, BIG Deal, InEve [Now Verified] & RaTTuS Home

Try "ATI Tray Tools" which is the most promising sounding thing I've found so far.
"Direct3D settings with templates, GUI form and tray popup menu"

Doubtful I've been very patient waiting for LCD prices to spike downward. I got the whole setup 3x LCD's + Matrox TH2G for just under $700.00. "kind of my gift to myself for getting my career off the ground"

I'll be the first to admit that now that I have the Tray tools I havent the slightest Idea how to use them...Templates? where do i acquire/modify these? I checked around in the guru3d forums but haven't turned up much.
