Edited by: cal nereus on 24/10/2007 04:26:30 AFAIK, cruisers can handle any level 2 mission. A Caracal or Vexor, among others, make ideal choices.
Another option is to train for t2 frigates and/or t2 cruisers (Assault Ships, HACs, etc). ---

The Drake too slow in a lvl2? That's the absolute fastest way to do a lvl 2 or lvl 1. Do you only have 1 launcher fitted instead of 7, maybe?
What's your fitting?

When i say slow i am not talking about the time it takes to clear a missions. I can clear a mission farly quickly. It just takes me 2 hours to get all the loot from the ships that are 50k away in differnt directions.

Clear the mission of hostiles. Bookmark a wreck in each room. Return to your agent and turn the mission in. Hop in a destroyer fitted with 6 salvagers and 2 tractor beams. Warp back to your bookmarked wreck and salvage/loot.
To do this even faster, complete 2 or 3 missions in your Drake, bookmarking each one, and return in one swoop to loot/salvage. You do run some risk in others finding your loot and salvaging your wrecks, depending on where you rung missions, but this is one of the fastest ways to do it. ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |

NEVER...NEVER...NEVERloot in a battlecruiser
Buy the destroyer skill book, buy a Cormorant fitted with 4 tractor beams and 4 salvagers and an AB to come back and loot your missions. Believe, this baby can fly fast and with the ability to use the tractor beam on wrecks up to 20km away you just fly close enough to activate beams and let them come to you. Better yet, target four wrecks, have them all coming towards you and start flying towards the next set of wrecks. You should be able to salvage level 1 blockade in under 10 minutes and level 2 blockade in under 20, give or take if you have to jump systems. This is the best investment you will make if you want to get some loot and free money from running missions. Plus, when you start doing level 3 and level 4 missions you can make more money from loot and salvage than you did from bounties.
Just my 0.02 isk thought though, it's always up to you

I only loot in my battlecruiser if I'm in the middle of pew pewing all the hostiles and I'm getting bored of just sitting there. It goes like:
Target x 5 F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6,F7 (tractor beam in that last slot maybe?) Right-Click wreck, select approach Rinse repeat. When you get to a wreck, open it and loot it.
I usually only get to a couple wrecks by the time I've cleared the mission, though. :) Gives me something to do while my Drake is wasting all those Minmatar scum!!! ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |

Is it worth salvaging Level 2s? --------------------------

Maybe it depends on what Level you're at. If you have been doing Lvl 3s and 4s and you're now doing Lvl 2s just to grind another corp, maybe not.
However, I'm grinding my first Lvl 2s to get to my first Lvl 3s. I can make hundreds of thousands if not millions grinding a Lvl 2. I definitely make more on salvage than loot + payout for a Lvl 2. For example, I recently did 3 Lvl 2 missions, then salvaged them all. I ended up making about 5 Million on the salvage alone. As opposed to the 500k to 1 Mil I got from the agent (I don't remember that part exactly. :) ) ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |
