Edited by: Vitrael on 24/10/2007 05:22:21 Why do you care? Doing anything to nuke a faction standing will probably nuke all friendly faction standings as well and having low faction standings prevents you from entering empire space without getting wtfblobbed by NPCs (file under: stupidest game mechanic in the history of Eve. You did a bunch of Caldari storylines so now you can't go to Gallente space!).

Hmm, well, I think you take a standings hit for getting caught with illegal trade goods.

Yep, that's one way. Convoys only give you a hit with the convoy's corp. Last time I shot at a gate agent ... if it was customs that hit faction as I recall, but if it was navy, that hit the navy corp. Was some time ago so could have changed. Shoot one in a noob ship and find out, don't shoot them in anything you want to keep because the have magic web, scram and disable weapon ability -AS |

*edit* Adunh beat meh!

Been a while since I smuggled, six months or so. But last time I tested, I sat at a gate with a bunch of really useless toxic waste to see if they would catch me. I rammed them, targetd them. Nothing. Waited five minutes, got bored, dumped some of it in a can, still nothing. I eventually got bored with them and moved on. Boosters may have induced a code test with customs agents, but don't be surprised if you can't be caught because they simply don't scan you. -AS |

Just chain the NPC navy ships of the faction you detest. You'll find them hanging around stations and gates, eating donuts.

They only check once per gate I seem to remember. If you want to get caught make a long journey with BadThings in the hold, lots of jumps will eventually trigger them.
